Singapore outlaws revenge porn and cyber-flashing in clampdown on digital sexual offences. [Members] Beware! You might run foul of the law!

Recommended Posts

This is a very insidious law and affects gay forums like Blowing Wind.

Suppose you post a nude photo of yourself or just a close-up shot of your private parts here (and there are hundreds if not thousands of pics like these on this forum) and a casual reader gets offended. He may report you to the police. :( It just gives homophobes more ammo to sabotage us.

Singapore outlaws revenge porn and cyber-flashing in clampdown on digital sexual offences

People who distribute or threaten to distribute revenge porn, or send unsolicited images of their private parts, may face a range of punishments including jail time

The law changes are a part of a major overhaul of Singapore’s penal code, which also saw the state criminalising marital rape, banning child sex dolls, and decriminalising suicide

Singapore has outlawed “cyber-flashing” – the act of sending unsolicited images of one’s private parts – and “revenge porn”, becoming the latest country to clamp down on sexual offences committed online.
Singapore’s parliament passed a bill on Monday that made distributing or threatening to distribute intimate images a crime. Perpetrators of “revenge porn” will be punishable by up to five years in jail, in addition to a fine and caning.

“Intimate images could become widely shared and on platforms, and may be impossible to completely remove. They have the potential to cause great harm to the victim,” said K Shanmugam, law and home affairs minister.
“Cyber-flashing” will be punishable by up to a year in prison or a fine. If the recipient is younger than 14, it is punishable by up to two years in jail, a fine or caning.

The changes are part of a major overhaul of Singapore’s penal code. Other new measures include outlawing marital rape, banning child sex dolls, and decriminalising suicide.

Welcome to jail! We're all offenders whether you know it or not and liable for jail. I think Singapore needs to really expand the prison to accommodate all the new inmates. This jail, that jail, even outside jail also feel like jail.

Those who thinks they can easily just flash their KKJ or Chrysanthemum and think nothing of it. Beware! You might run foul of the law.

There is a simple solution that avoids expanding the prison system:

Apply the same penalty as for the possession of at least 15 grams of heroin:

Mandatory death penalty!

Agree. So many people now. All crimes should be punishable by death.

Maybe the coronavirus is a punishment by God for the crimes of humanity?

Just kidding...  If there was a God, he would see that humans don't commit crimes that need punishment.

And would avoid overpopulation by making more people homosexual.

Guest Flashing

The thread starter seemed a bit too colourful and more panic and fear mongering.

revenge porn you share intimate pictures received from or taken with a sex partner but publish without consent from the other partner.

Cyberflashing means sending unsolicited nudes to someone in a chat, messages app without having obtained prior consent from the other person .
Don’t send nudes to anyone without having asked before sending if the other person minds or doesn’t mind.

You need to ask the other person first if they allow you to send a picture of their dick or ass. if they keep silent better don’t send nudes.....

Then forums need to write super long disclaimers. When dumbasses comes into forums will understand they will have to agree to be seeing things like this and they can’t do anything about it. Here  is always like this. You can put a plain barricade  at an entry, those ppl will walk in. You go tell them “sorry, this area is closed, there’s a barricade here”. They answer back “There’s no signage say what!” (Shake my head).

Not everyone can be out and having a "normal" relationship. Some people are scared of being labelled, etc, with family and friends. Blowingwind allows virtual friendship and sharing and fun, even. Not fair for some gays even if they are not sex offenders, everyone needs love, as long it doesn't hurt anyone. Am I making any sense?
