For GESC, it's best to avoid Tue and Thur evenings. I normally reached ard 8pm so not too crowded. I overheard 2 uncles talking that 7 to 8pm very crowded in the pool. Wed, Fri and Sat evenings are good times to go for a swim there. For Sun, it's better to reach after 7pm to available family crowd.

Had a pleasant experience ytd evening that made up for the crowd at GESC with a guy in black swim briefs politely asking if he could squeeze in as the pool was crowded. First time encountering this as most people would just jump in even though got no space left.

Try not to announce when you are planning to hit the pool. Try to keep it as vague as possible perhaps. In recent years, there's been a lot of stalkers and lurkers in here that whenever an announcement is made, the pool magically becomes crowded with creeps, and that would also contribute to a more crowded pool. Just my 2 cents

My swimming time ia reduced by a lot since returning to office. Occasionally, I show up at Katong. 
After working hours, the crowd at the pool is horrendous. To make it worse, polo practice, aqua aerobics, and dunno what water activities la. Too challenging to navigate. I find other forms of exercise.

Very hot afternoon.

Drag myself to the pool. The swim is ok but the "scene" is boring. 

There were a few guys there and none wore speedo cut swimwear. They were in rectangular cut swimwear or board shorts style.

Yes, on some days, I see very sunny weather but I find it too hot. Just refuse to go out, let alone swimming under that kind of weather. 🥵

Notice even if I swim after the sunrays no longer as strong, somehow the UV seems to be inside the water. Even if for a short while, my yellow butt will get even lighter as exposed area tanned even darker.
