ONJ will always be Sandee. No one else comes close...

Caught her Body, Herat & Spirit 2007 Tour in Spore. She sounded so much better live than on record.

Incidentally, her biggest hit Physical was passed over by Tina Turner. ONJ then did the song and the sexy videeo. Was banned on radio back in 1981...

The amazing thing about her  3 rounds of concerts in Asia  within the recent decade is that the expensive ones are always sold out before the cheapest pricing ....the reverse happens for most other performers in Asia !

Normally buy the cheapest. Was it $90 plus sistic fee?  Then head down nearer to the front when the show starts. ONJ walked to our section and waved in our direction.

She did a Bossa Nova version of Physical. Was a fantastic show especially the final  segment GREASE. Olivia sang most of her hits but not Heart Attack.

The ushers not doing their jobs properly, there are always barriers to separate the price zone ......I mostly go for the most expensive ticket for concerts .....no wonder need to hire foreign workers to be on the toes

Most of the concerts here are downsized versions of their Western counterparts. Local concert promoters always stinge on lots of things.

1) Props. Good example is Kylie's Aphrodite Tour. No water fountains like in other countries. Explanation - the stage cannot accomodtae the equipment.

2) Shorter concert setlist, Eg Madonna's Rebel Heart tour where she cut a couple of songs for Spore's censors. Kylie's X tour also left out the Geisha segment and the props. Nonetheless, Kylie X 2008 is still a great show.

3) Poor sound system. Olivia's concert had a very good sound system. Even at the back, it's loud and clear. But other's like Paul Anka's very crappy sound. The Culture Club one, music is very loud from the stage but quiet at the back. Wirh good sound systems, you can hear just as great at the back. Promoter's explanation - crowd too small to justify the costs.

4) Now don't even get me started on those CON-certs at Esplanade. Some shows less than 10 songs and the singer talk a lot to fill in the show duration.

That's why I always buy the cheapest. But it came to a pont where it's not worthwhile to go anymore.
