How do you tell if he’s a scammer?

Guest Being Scammed

This guy befriended me on Blued. He gave me his number as +44 7448 265828... It’s a weird number, very suspicious.

He suggested calling to chat but refused to use the video call on Blued. Nevertheless I added him on WhatsApp cos he’s my type from his posted self pics.

We started texting for awhile. He tried calling me on WhatsApp several times but I never picked up, it’s weird and I’m scared.
His distance on Blued showed he’s 23km away from me... But he’s been telling me he’s in UK now... Wow I never know UK is so close to me... 🤣🤣🤣

I asked him for his intro and his name, his life and what he’s been doing... But he never ask me for mine...

He started calling me “dear”, “darling”, “love”... His replies are always short and some are repeated even... I know, this is highly a scammer right?

He kept saying he has intention to settle down when he comes back and he wants to get married (with a guy) eventually... Yet, he still never ask more about who I am, what am I doing, and most importantly, what’s my name!!!???

Ok ok, I know he’s most probably a scammer by now, but he’s my type from looking at his pics, and guess I jus feel like flirting with him...

Anyone here has similar experience on such social apps?

What is your advice?

Do you think I’m playing with fire?

Or is it ok as long I’m careful not to fall into any of his tricks?

Anyone has mishaps with such scams to share?

1. I will used the photo he sent me and do a Google image search. To see if it's a common pic.

2. I will also google search his mobile no.  Which turns out to be... https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=%2B44+7448+265828

Trust your instinct. If your instinct tells you that it's not legit, then back off.

How not to fall into love scam.

1. Don't be desperate.

2. Don't trust anyone online until proven otherwise.

3. Don't believe everything you hear. When it is too good to be true, it usually is.

4. Don't be greedy.

5. Ask yourself; are you really that desirable that someone you don't know will fall for you instantly?

6. Don't engage your dick head until your ask your brains all the above questions.

FYI, Blued is an international platform. Hence not surprising if someone messaged you from other countries (based on the number with the country code, +44, seems like it's from UK?)

Stay Safe. If nothing else works, porn and hands are your best friends. Cheers :)

Will you be my valentine's? :D

If you like what you see from his photo.  Meet him up to verify.

Than book a room, have sex with him. Get over this ONS and move on.

It's scary how China's morally reprehensible people are spreading in this world.

It used to be 山寨,petty crimes and sex scams all within their borders.

Now they are spreading out like virus through internet and travels.

It's really appalling that there's such morally empty people coming from a country with strict central controls for obedience. All that tight controls only produce very cunning and deceitful people who knows how to deceive and appear obedient to the authorities like cat and mouse game, then after being brought up in this type of deceitful environment, they are hardened and so morally empty that they never even blink when scamming others.

I use the reverse image search all the time. I have this bad habit of talking to scammers just for the fun of slowly exposing them. Ask them weirdly specific questions about where they stay, or tell them something only local will know, see how they react. Funny thing is many of them will pick a really remote location in Singapore, like Tuas, to stay. They always try to avoid meeting up, so they have a common excuse of saying in the first few conversations that they injured themselves or something, so they can’t meet. All the stupid tricks la. Best is if I found out whose picture they are using (usually some gay people from Weibo), I’ll talk to them about that guy lol.

You need to ask them if they are scammers.

If they say they are scammers, then they are scammers.

If they say they are not scammers, then they definitely ARE scammers.

That’s true, but a lot of scammers nowadays are also from India, and their background and culture are very different, and yet… they scam.

i met someone on okc

physically met the guy as well for supper before

then kinda fell for him and he said he like me too

then he told me his dad not feeling well, need money for dialysis. he was even able to show an outstanding bill that needs immediate payment

lent him some money

long story short

more bills, more hospitalization, more treatment

claimed he borrowed money from loanshark, needed to do illegal stuff to pay off

have some savings plan due very soon but need to pay last few installments

dad's kidney having issues and needed urgent surgery

i was going thru some things myself so emotionally, i bought into all the stories and kept lending him money

taking loans and signing phone lines just to help him

all until i got a call from the police saying that he is scamming people and there were multiple reports against him. the police saw me transferring money to him and called me to assist with investigation

shortly after, he blocked me and i lost a 5-digit sum of money, including all my savings and gotten into a shit ton of debts that I am still trying to repay

point is: sometimes it is freaking obvious it is a scam, but people still fall for it. Please be careful out there everyone

Why would anyone in UK look for a bf in Singapore?

Just think logic.

If he can't find a bf in UK my alarm bells are ringing and lights  blinking in deep red!
