Because that option could definitely be cheaper. For example, I live together with three roommates and we pay a very decent price for what we get. Also, I heard the same narrative from my friends. We made the place feel very homie and cozy. For example, we bought a cute door mat with a funny slogan, we got a lot of plants to make the place more alive, and finally we got a street house sign from baliandboo.com which gives the place a more personalized vibe.
