I saw some people use their phone to tap in and out of mrt gantry.

Do you know which app can do that?

They’re using either Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay.

Basically, your debit or credit card can be added to your iPhone or Android phone, and you can use that to pay for bus rides, restaurants or clothes store. If the store accepts PayWave, it’ll accept Apple Pay/Google Pay/Samsung Pay.

I’ve been using Apple Pay 80-90% of my purchases and transport now. Its super convenient!

Got into this in June when the ez-link card expired after 5 years.

Nowadays credit cards come with ez-link function (look at the back for ez-link) and cepas (used to tap credit card at gantry, charged as credit card usage - accumulate transaction or days before posting).

You will need to switch at the MRT station using those big machine to change your credit card from ez-link to cepas.

(Optional) If you want to use your phone, it will be mobile wallet (add credit card to your phone and tap with NFC enabled).
