Why would anyone be caring or focus. I am sure there are more focus on having fun onboard as you should be too. I travelled many times solo and enjoyed it. Even locally to restaurants and other entertainment places. Plus it gives me the chance to likely pickup someone heheh. I can go anywhere I choose and not have to consult another, get to stay at one spot as long as I like (especially indulging in my hobby of photography with no one to rush me). If you have no worthy companion, being solo is way better than having a pain in the ass personality character with you everywhere. I think you have been brainwashed too long stereotypically into thinking being solo makes you a bad, weird or something wrong with you that people do not want to friend you. You live life for YOU that fit you not one that must conform to other's constant expectations. Being single does not mean you are not allow to enjoy whatever. BTW I too am considering a trip on the ship. I am getting bored with this shit COVID19 lockdown.. anything that looks not like my bedroom would be good. PS.. if you look hard enough you will notice there are more and more like us around these days. And no, it's not because you are gay or whatever. Well that is an option I rarely take up. And ya avoiding peak season is a good thing, and you get better rates. But as some of those prices only come when you book really far in advance like months away... you know your schedule, but the more people involve, the harder everyone can decide on a day to go so far ahead. If you have not done so, try it.. nightmare and drama heh. So I give that up or lay down some very strict hard rules... even if you have to lose your booking and money paid. Sigh Thus am wary and slow to reveal being gay or cruising a guy too long when gaydar detect a person or gay group on holiday overseas. The loud empty vessel with that "look at me, look at me" attitude which stereotype us in a negative narcissist light. Rather not associate and be stuck on a cruise ship or plane with them the whole trip. Bond it happen most of the time, the bigger the group, the louder and drama the drama queens get. Been there. Seen that. Embarrassed and hated joining them. You wonder why str8 folks still are uncomfortable around us. I rather cruise stealthily. Downplay my presence. Nicer guys to encounter, not part of the loud drama ones who keep to themselves, if you find and connect with are more interesting and give you space by not being 'sticky' too. You likely get a connecting response if you crack a smile at them or strike a intro remark. You're on holiday on a ship, people tend to be less guarded about 'orientation'. I just wish there were longer and further off cruises heh... Not really into casino gambling.
