Can you conclude from the pictures they are not? What idiocy.

Your ignorance and extremely tainted view on reality is very obvious now. Thanks for letting us know again that you even ignore clear facts taken from pictures.

Or in your view it had been only obvious if the foreigners had worn something sort of a yellow david star on their shirts?

If 95% of these pictured are not locals, then you seem not to live in Singapore.

What's all these got to do with construction labour shortage?
Are these the benefits of the CECA?

Auntie Troll,

You jolly well know the difference between xenophobia and rationalism.  If you are accusing me of being xenophobic, then you are also accusing Gilbert Goh the same.

https://theindependent.sg/activist-gilbert-goh-investigated-for-holding-up-placard-outside-ica-building-calling-for-india-flights-

When you cherrypick the negative  aspects of foreigners with the intention of stirring hatred, and calling them cockroaches and locusts, you are being xenophobic.  When you forbid workers from the Indian subcontinent to spend their weekends on Sentosa, you are being discriminatory.  When you urge for the severance of trade links with China and repatriation of all its workers, it simply shows your deep hatred has blinded you from rationality.  When you object to the issue of maids having day-off to be discussed in the Parliament, you are being unkind.  So before you spit toxic blood at others to taint their reputation, look yourself in the mirror.

Of course one can list arrivals of Singaporeans at the airport from such a high-risk zone.  The point is: the govt has defended itself that it cannot stop imported cases on the grounds of “labour needs”.  So the data I presented was just to show how flimsy their excuse is.

Great work!

This is discovery work Alex Au style!

Now we are aware what the real "loophole" was all the past weeks....

I have said it before and will now say it again, Guest Guest, your posts are the stupidest things in the history of this website. How can an 18-year-old student be a so-called PAP Crony Bitch? That makes no sense. I am the future and you are the ancient past. You are also stupid, stupid, stupid. Now crawl somewhere else and die, die, die.

"How can an 18-year-old student be a so-called PAP Crony Bitch“?

That's simple: By dropping you on your head the moment you were born and drowning you in the toilet bowl when you didn't die. And after that, since you already have serious oxygen depletion in your head, that's the best time to bang your head on the walls and feed you with Propaganda poison for the next few years. That's how you became a crony bitch. So much for you being the future when you cannot even see that, you dumb piece of shit. If you are the future, then the future is dead, when even your mother don't want you.

Is Gilbert Goh here to spread his love of all foreigners on this forum? I guess not. Are you spreading your xenophilia love all over the forum all the time? I guess yes.

So why bring up Gilbert Goh here to distract us, when this is all about you?

Sorry honey, I have no clue what you are talking about. You got the wrong guy here, boboshooter. Lol!

But in any case, when you cherrypick the negative  aspects of Indian nationals with the intention of stirring hatred of them for bringing in the covid virus, aren't you also being xenophobic?? Lol.

Whatever happened to your xenophilia love for all things foreign? In the past, didn't you also "rationalize" that foreigners didn't ask to be infected, so we must show them our love and concern and even give them free vaccinations and all? I thought you would again ask the government to put them on to some cruise ships and help cure them and vaccinate them this time, even if it will mean another 30% increase in your Medishield premiums soon after that.

So what's the deal this time? No more love for those foreigners anymore? They will miss your love, you know? They are the only ones who will still love you back, you know? Lol.

china and hong kong has tighten indian entry when they know it is a threat. it is not discrimination. it is not india fault but it is because a lot of us do not know how to cope with the situation.  we should have tighten the indian travel restriction much earlier.

Even plenty other here identified these people on the pics to be locals.

If you had a bit of brain which is very now for everyone here obvious you don't have, you had seen Nightingale was not hitting on Indians/ South Asians or trying to post anything anti foreigner, then you had noted, Nightingale was government critical and exposing facts against the governments explanations.

Instead of just looking at the nationality, look at the entry type of these persons in the list. That should tell you the whole story of what happened.

I am shocked to see the Immigration (ICA) having permitted so many social visit passes into Singapore while

employees of companies in our office building (mostly businesses from Europe and US) who hold EPs did not receive any grant by the Singapore Government (MOM) to return to Singapore. There is some staff waiting already more than 8 months to return back here from Europe or US and MOM never granted the permit for re-entry to Singapore.

Why did ICA permit so many "relatives" from Pass Holders, Students etc under a Social Visit Pass to Singapore?

Can ICA explain?

Why do you want those staff to come in? Can YOU explain? Is it to exploit the loophole like what that PAP dog suggested?? The article below was from the time before more countries were banned..

https://www.asiaone.com/singapore/travel-ban-loophole-packages-offering-access-singapore-india-third-country-spark-covid-19

"Former NMP Calvin Cheng similarly suggested taking a trip to the US and spending two weeks there as they do not have a mandatory quarantine, before flying to Singapore and serving a 14-day quarantine in a dedicated facility."

"Meanwhile, a screenshot of an Indian national being offered assistance in entering Singapore via Sri Lanka was uploaded onto Facebook last Friday. The man was told that as long as he obtained a visa and stayed in Sri Lanka for two weeks, he would be allowed into Singapore. Another user was seen suggesting Nepal as another intermediary country."

Crowds seen at S'pore supermarkets after tightened Covid-19 measures announced

No need to stock up at home, retail shops will remain open.

Crowds were seen at various supermarkets islandwide on May 14, following tightened measures announced by the Government today.

I feel so sadden seeing these long lines of good Singaporeans waiting so patiently to have their groceries checked out.  Here in Houston I have 3 huge grocery stores with self-serve checkout places where there is usually no waiting time.

But the crowd is understandable, given the coming shut-down.  However, it is wise to always keep at home a good stock of non-perishables at any time. Here in Houston it is the events of hurricanes, flooding, freezes, and yes also shut-downs last year.

It may seem bizarre but it is as though the Singapore government possesses  a death wish for Singaporeans. How on earth did we become the second largest country  in the world to be infected with the deadly Indian Covid-19 variant.

Why have we migrated from a situation when locals were largely free from the Covid-19 to suddenly chalking up 156 cases of this lethal Indian variant with numbers still climbing to the sky?

Thus far it has infected 4  public hospitals, Changi Airport Terminals, Changi Prison, Victoria JC, St. Stephen's Primary School and threatening to spread to a large number of eateries hawker centers and shopping malls patronized by Covid-19 positive patients. How did all this come to pass?

The simple answer is through negligence diffidence arrogance and gross ignorance by the top leadership of the country 3 + 4G alike

Looking at the MOH released data of the 156 Covid 19 Indian variant cases it is clear as daylight that it is the Indian nationals permitted to enter Singapore who are the bearers of the disease and the bad news. They are the dependents  of non-citizen Indian  PMETs working here. They have been allowed into the country and thereby risking the entire Singapore population.

It is worth noting that thus far not a single foreign worker living in dormitories have been infected. And this is due to the simple reason that they have not been visited by any relatives or dependents. On the other hand the local situation is getting from bad to worse as the intransigent government scrambles to impose more restrictions on the local population to prevent the situation from going out of hand.

In opening our doors to indian nationals our government has reversed and squandered all the previous gains that Singaporeans have achieved through hardwork hardship n sacrifices. Some paid heavy fines to fall into line while the majority  collaborated fully with the authorities from before the lockdown last year till now.

It is not as if more astute Singaporeans have not been raising their voices on social media to warn their government not to be foolhardy and to impose a total ban on Indians travelling direct or through third countries into Singapore to escape the deadly pandemic spreading like wildfire in the subcontinent back home. But all these voices fell on deaf ears.

When the issue of CECA was raised by patriotic Singaporeans they were chastised and slammed by the PM's wife Ho Ching as racists beating the nationalist drums. I wonder what she has to say now that we know that it is the relatives of CECA who have brought the Indian variant to the little red dot.

And right in the midst of the flare up PM Lee decided to switch horses in midstream causing the newly-appointed Minister of Health Ong Yi Kung to make a Freudian gaffe when he referred to his predecessor as the Minister of Health when he is already taking over the portfolio. His reshuffling of the cards only serves to produce jokers and not winners in the current fight against the deadly Pandemic.

May I propose to the government that is so good at imposing $10,000 fines on people who fail to wear their masks or keep social distancing to impose a fine of $1000,000 on itself for every single indian variant that it has permitted to enter the country.

Yours Faithfully

Now is pretty clear why Heng decided to step aside,  if i was him and knowing these are the kind of "talents" that is going to work with me,  no eye see,  better resign first before things get out of control.

Last year sept after the dormitory mess finally clear up, community case remain low but everyday we get lots of imported xmas gift. It accumulate over the month till finally exploded. I pity all those hawkers, restaraunts,  gym, travel agents, night entertainment operators and related staff who got affected just because someone on top fuck up the whole situation. What is the point of giving rental rebates and pay subsidies when all they want is to continue their business and job?

Guest Goulash Which Is Very Posh

All but about 1% of inbound travel to Singapore needs to be stopped immediately -- from every country -- not just India. I don't care if airlines go out of business or any other consequences at this point. And the entire world would be wise to follow the same policy. Things have gotten ridiculous. Strict measures need to be adopted until probably the end of this year to deal with the coronavirus.

The only inbound flights (or ships) that should be allowed are emergency trips for political leaders and cargo planes (as well as ships) to bring in and send away goods needed for people to survive. Any other citizens or PRs returning home need to be taken into protective custody immediately upon landing and transported to secure facilities for 30 days of quarantine at their own expense.

Look at Australia and New Zealand. They have the disease just about completely under control. Why? Because their borders are totally closed to every other country. That is the only way out of this nonsense. I know it is easier for those two nations to fully close their borders, due to their neighbors being further away, but we can also close our two bridges with Malaysia for as long as needed.

Changi needs to be closed to all but essential flights -- meaning inbound and outbound cargo -- as well as citizens and PRs returning home (restricted to perhaps one flight per week). And again, those coming in must be grabbed by the authorities and taken to secure facilities for 30 days of quarantine at their own expense, although they may wind up paying just $20 per night in the end.

To be fair,  any mess up in any countries in handling the covid situation, be it big country or tiny nation,  yes including tiny nation, the govt and the people have to take 50% responsibility each.  There is no such thing as to push all responsibility to either one.

On Sunday, the ministry announced that two more students from St Andrew’s Junior School had also tested positive for COVID-19. The students, an eight-year-old and a 12-year-old who are siblings, had last shared a bus with the previous St Andrew’s Junior School case on May 11.

SINGAPORE - A woman who refused to wear a mask at Marina Bay Sands is being investigated by the police. In a statement on Saturday evening (May 15), the police said the 53-year-old woman had allegedly not worn a mask despite numerous requests from a safe distancing ambassador (SDA) to do so.

Heard she is a high ranking signed on officer....

Yeah , and she was caught on camera in multiple instances not putting on her mask at places such as NTUC, Central Mall etc too. And to top it off, it was rumored that she put in the title instead of her rank, to make it sound as if she is so much bigger than she actually is, eg a ship captain is different from a Captain, just like how a lieutenant commander of a ship is different from a lieutenant colonel. So be very precise about her if you want to find out who she is.

moderna and pfizer are 100% effective against severe disease. that's a truly remarkable achievement, from the medical point of view.  it may not prevent an infection per se, but it does prevent death from the infection. to put it in another way, a vaccinated person will get nothing more than sniffles when he gets infected. a non vaccinated person, however, may end up on a respirator or even dead. if u do the maths (benefits vs risks), it's a no brainer to get vaccinated, regardless of whether it can prevent an infection.

do note:

1 he has underlying medical problems.

2 given his working conditions in india, it is almost certain that he could not and did not observe basic infectious control measures, let alone don a proper ppe. given the nature of his work, it is also almost certain that he was exposed a tremendously high viral load all the time, much higher than you, eg. a huge viral load translate to higher likelihood of severe disease.

the unfortunate dr's circumstances are very different from those of the men on the street. men like you, eg. so, please don't let reports like this deter you from getting vaccinated.

our government is right in pushing ahead with the vaccination. the morbidity and perhaps the mortality too, would have been greater if those infected were not vaccinated at all.

Long story short: the bold part which you said is false because of what you yourself said in the underlined part.

You merely shifted the goalpost so that you can score the win by claiming what you meant was for "men on the street" who, by the way, may also not be donning on full PPE and getting exposed to higher and higher levels of viral loads when Singapore has a population density of 8358 people per km2.

Nobody objects to your push for vaccination here. But you do it by spreading fake prophesies that "it does prevent death from the infection" .. ? Shame on you!

Singaporean style.  Before Pm Lee say he is going TV to talk about covid 19 means something  bad is coming. . People start rushing to supermarket  before he appear on TV. Even instants noodles and bread wipe out too.

Panic buying also happened in other countries last year when the pandemic first broke out, including Hong Kong, Japan, Italy, America, and Australia, amongst many places.

It's not a "Singaporean trait" to stock up supplies during a crisis; it's a human reaction.

But this time round, the urgency to stockpile is not justified because shops are not closing and supplies are still available.  It's an ingrained kiasu mentality.

So, are you saying the supplies in Hong Kong, Japan, Italy, America, and Australia, amongst many places are going to become unavailable, and the shops there were closing then ?

Seriously, if you have such an ingrained hatred for Singaporeans, why don't you just migrate to some other countries elsewhere?

Oh I forgot, other countries may not welcome traitors too.

This video seems to be against all vaccines, so take it with a pinch of salt.  However, the recent so-called vaccines are not genuine vaccines at all.  They suppress the symptoms and you still can get infected.  And they have not completed Phase 3 testing as they were all rushing to produce "results" and $$$$.  Some even asked for a country's sovereign rights and military bases.

https://www.facebook.com/gary.yeo.64/videos/10158508485427408

How come this "gary" individual is so expert in vaccines that he knows what millions don't know, to the point that he can negate the benefits that these millions experience and reveal an enormous conspiracy?  Isn't the guy in this video a typical example of a conspiracy monger?  And what are his credentials?

"Phase 3 testing not completed"...  WHAT IS this vaccination of over 100 million Americans but a super-phase-3 testing?  Don't the figures show an impressive reduction in the strength of the pandemic, which would have no other explanation than the introduction of the vaccine?  Americans did not become more responsible, more compliant with the safety measures of masks and distancing, but a massive plan of vaccination was started.  At the start of this vaccination the fatalities in old folks homes took a nosedive.  Hundreds of thousands of medical professionals, scientists, accept the positives of vaccines,  no professional group of them has come out in opposition of vaccines.  Have they all been bribed?

Yes, maybe in other countries people emptied shops in panic buying after the very first lockdown (Singapore speak: Circuit Breaker) last year, but surely nobody rushed to the shops for panic buying and toilet paper hoarding after any following lockdowns.

I didn't read about panic buying in HK, Taiwan or South Korea...

Why is it that when one debates, and when there is no (intelligent) facts to rebut, one must always have to resort to not-happy-get-out kind of argument?  It is actually a loser mentality.

There is no gram of logic in this post.

What does the supplies in Italy, Australia, Japan, HK, America have to do with local panic buyers in Singapore?

You might be right, but this guy always tries to have the last word to make it look as if he was right, but what he didn't note is that he always embarrassed himself already heavily with his earlier posts.

At least we always have a good laugh!

I dont think money is an issue as SG govt is very rich but more of limited supply.

Europe,  US and some other countries are probably keeping more doses than they required, production in India have been affected due to their current situation and they are one of the main vaccine producer.

Open Letter to Bloomberg.

Dear Bloomberg...

Thank you for your announcement that Singapore was the best place to take refuge from the surging Covid 19. I know your job is to sell readership but please try and pick another place that is big and has big resources like perhaps China. Since your publication on 27 April we have fallen from grace. You see your pronouncement has emboldened our leaders to throw caution to the wind. They got swell headed  and continue to import new cases on a daily basis, knowing fully well that our good neighbour India had massive infections in their country. Their excuse? We need cheap labour to fuel our economy. So they adopt a strategy of risk management as opposed to risk elimination.

We Singaporeans are the easiest people in the world to govern. We are the kiasu, kiasi people. They say jump we jump, they say hide we hide. That is why we kuai kuai put on mask, keep safe distance, and stay home.

I don't know if it is coincidental or pre-ordained that we should have this new wave after your publication of the ranking. The same phenomenon happened in Mar last year. WHO chief praised us  for keeping the lid down on the virus. Gold standard he said! Then wham!!! Big explosions of cases in the dormitories. We went into hiding, make big sacrifices. For 6 months we kena CB'd, then heaved a sigh of relief when we shifted into third gear, I mean Phase 3.

Please you or some other mother f****rs please don't ever play a trick like this on us ever again. Our leaders are always looking out for praises like this to earn points for the next election. Sometimes they create their but thats is beside the point.

Truly yours,
Singkie.
