Columbus was a murderer, slave trader, rapist, pedophile, and generally all-around terrible excuse for a human being. The fact that he committed all of those crimes and a whole lot more is a part of history that can't be honestly disputed. He was deposed as governor of his so-called "New World" and sent back to Spain to face punishment for being psychopathically cruel in his efforts to subjugate the Native Americans. No way does he deserved to be honored. Remembered? Okay. Sure. But honored? Hell to the NO!

Not only that, but after he returned to Spain he demanded from the Crown a part of the bounty Spain received from America.  That son of a bitch!  But he Crown did not do it.

But we need not worry.

All the celebrations, adorations to his persona have an absent recipient.  The man died over 500 years ago, and nothing must be left of him on this planet.  If there is an afterlife, for 500 years he must have been slowly roasting in the flames of hell,  and will continue to do so for all eternity.

Trump went to one of last week's MLB World Series games between the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros for no reason other than to be filmed performing the "Tomahawk Chop" gesture which many Native American rights groups consider offensive and have been protesting against for decades.

Trump has no association or history with either the Atlanta Braves or Houston Astros, and the last time he went to a World Series game between Houston and the Washington Nationals two years ago, he was serenaded with a very loud chorus of boos. He clearly showed up to insult Native Americans.

Of course Trump went to an Atlanta Braves game to engage in an activity considered offensive by Native Americans. It would have been more surprising if he had stayed home and passed up the opportunity to remind his deplorable base that racism remains the number one motivatational force in their miserable lives.

Trump also lied (as usual of course) when he claimed he was "invited" to that World Series Game.

He "invited" himself to that game to specifically be filmed being racist towards Native Americans.

I think that there is a reason Trump is a racist.  The same reason he is all the other abominations he is.

He is a selfish sociopath. He will do anything to benefit himself.  No, he will not be a common criminal because he knows that this will land him in jail.  Instead, his criminality he does at a much higher level where some privileges seem to keep him shielded from the consequences.   At least until now.

I am waiting for justice finally reaching him.  When Congress' January 6 investigation is completed, there should be enough material to indict him for subversion, sedition.  The military should have also enough evidence to court martial him, since he committed his crimes while being part of the Armed Forces,  and jail him for life on charges of treason and other crimes.    I don't know what the Department of Justice is waiting to indict him for the crimes of election fraud he committed trying to fake the election results in Georgia.  It is getting time!

Guest Mr. Big

You all sinkies need to stay away from co celebrating thanksgiving day meals if invited.

Its celebrating the taking away of everthing from the native Americans, lands , rights, culture.

Some say its cultural genocide.

Till today, they are still left behind.

When was the last time you see them speaking out on mainstream TV.

NOW,  i will not celebrate with em on Thansgiving, thanksgiving for one group, but  hell for the other one.

While searching for videos to contribute to the Christmas Songs Thread, I came across this absolutely cringe-inducing clip from a late 1940s or early 1950s "Cowboys & Indians" (sic) movie where Gene Autry's character and a 'Father Christmas' figure ride up to a Native American school singing "Here Comes Santa Claus" while the local children are supposed to get all excited about the arrival of the ang moh gift-givers. Blecchhh.

There are many of these wars on people using certain words.

We might change how we name certain things now, but looking back at different times, you must always consider it from the different angle that in those times, it was not offensive.

In some parts in Europe some groups started attacking pharmacies that were named after the "holy" Mauritius because the name was associated with Blacks, but it was not at all and just a reference to a medical expert who had his origin in North Africa.

Fights are going on, in areas and town councils where, streets, underground stations, busstops etc are renamed just because of this name that is erroneously considered being "insulting of blacks" .

While the truth is ignorance of certain backgrounds and fact and creating a storyline that is not represented with history.

I also don't really think it is necessary to tear down monuments and statues of former governors, presidents etc that acted in consent to slavery, because you need to consider (while now we consider it as to be false) that on the time it was legal.

Some of the first 12 US presidents were all pro slavery and had slaves.

George Washington kept some 300 bondsmen at his Mount Vernon plantation. Thomas Jefferson—despite once calling slavery an “assemblage of horrors”—owned at least 175 enslaved workers at one time. James Madison, James Monroe and Andrew Jackson each kept several dozen enslaved workers, and Martin Van Buren owned one during his early career.

William Henry Harrison owned several inherited enslaved people before becoming president in 1841, while John Tyler and James K. Polk were both enslavers during their stints in office. Zachary Taylor, who served from 1849-1850, was the last chief executive to keep enslaved people while living in the White House. He owned some 150 enslaved workers on plantations in Kentucky, Mississippi and Louisiana.

Coming back to the Holy Mauritius:

There are even demonstrations and harassment, vandalism in front of such pharmacies holding this name of the holy Mauritius in these countries.

But is is difficult to fight against those fanatics who try to push their agenda.
