Rhyn
I don't drive, at all, but from what I understand about EVs, since they're all powered by lithium batteries, they also suffer from the same problems and limitations of iPhone and Android devices. Basically, there are a few bad practises that would degrade the lifespan of a lithium battery, but two stands out 1. Charging to 100% - this is only okay if the driver immediately drives off at full charge, because keeping the battery at 100% can create stress on it. 2. Charging from 0% to 100% - it's usually advisable to charge once it reaches the halfway mark, so something like 40-60% is a great time to charge it. So EVs will usually regulate (and maybe even learn) to not charge the car's battery to 80%. It's normal and can help extend the lifespan of the battery.
