Japan IPL has no male therapist from what I know. All female therapist.

That’s her job. She can’t choose. I don’t think she mind. It’s the client who will be choosy. 
Personally, I would choose a male therapist.

Nope, no feelings of any embarrassment at all. I still change openly in public and anyone who wants to take a look, or do more than just take a look, they are most welcome to do so.

You can easily differentiate grandpas to uncles to youths

I have been generally going for waxing, and in between, I'll use my epilator to get rid of the new sprouting hairs.

The previous year, while looking after my Dad since his stroke, I hadn't the time to get waxed or use my epilator... and it grew out.

That's when I noticed the silver hairs !! and it kinda freaked me a bit, looking at that pepper and salt bush... lol.. my greying years have begun.

 

Anyway, the quickest solution was to buy a tube of "Bi---n" hair dye, just apply the paste onto my pubic bush while shaving my face

in the morning, and in 10 minutes the grey is all covered up nicely, and it does last for 2 weeks.

The fun thing is that I've been trying out various colours... lol... my private "cosplay" entertainment.  HeHe.

Quite frankly, the SHR boyzillian I went for did not reduce my pubic hair growth... so when it regrows it is still rather lush... LOL 🤣

that makes the dyeing or bleaching process quite simple. 👍

The ones I usually go, I’m in a prone position. Yesterday I went to another one (new mall, new opening, got promo), the lady told me to get on knees (crawling) position. I felt very awkward but she says it’s easier for her. 

 

Is there a standard practice?

I have been to 3 different therapists from different establishments before. 
All of them required me to lie down on my front with my legs opened up like frog legs (from the top, the legs formed a diamond shape). 
I have heard from other people that they are asked to be on their four like a dog/call or some lie down on the front w butt sticking up. 
Thus, I suppose different therapist does it differently, depending which position is easier for him/her to remove the hair.

I heard from a therapist that the doggy / kneeling style is also for safety - in case the person jerks from the pain and kicks the therapist by accident. Your limbs are all tucked in with the kneeling position.

For me, its prone position, legs as spaced out as possible (according to the dimensions of the bed)

Agree. The therapist would have seen so many that looking at yours is just a dime a penny. Don’t overthink or over analyse the situation. 
Having said that, I make it a point not to patronise therapist who is hanky panky.

I know the therapists are professional and they understand erection is normal, but I still feel bad whenever I got an erection.

 

I will always apologise and hope it softens. Sometimes, the therapist will say “sir, you have to cool down if not I can’t do that part” (ya I know, I’m trying).

I bought a hand held IPL device for my hair removal. Definitely much more affordable than multiple trips to the saloon. And no embarrassing moments too.
