dun understand what you guys like about elvin ng. is it his body?

he is not exactly good looking, like a block head and cant express himself well. also his acting is so-so only.

Obviously I like his body although he is not consider super cute. Even though his acting so so only and yet he gained so much exposure on acting. Quite a miracle tht he can survive until now in showbiz?!

Some people have no respect for the dead. At least take off your cap if you don't want to be dressed decently (no, I do not consider a plunging v neck to be appropriate for a funeral.

He oops correction, She is lossing her hair on top so must put on the cap to cover up.

With his appearance, he sure received many *hints* in his young days when he was involved in the drama/theatre group (where there are plenty of drama ajs).  Too bad, different way, different path.

is edwin goh popular here? dun see him like decent onscreen but actually quite a playboy.

its old news last year.

http://www.asiaone.com/News/Latest%2BNews/Showbiz/Story/A1Story20120204-325899.html

20120204.182020_tnp_edwin.jpg Heart-throb Edwin Goh's kiss with Dawn Yeoh exposed

IT WAS a brief romance that lasted all of three months.

Local actor Edwin Goh, who found fame on the Channel 5 period drama Fighting Spiders and Channel 8 hit series On The Fringe, has called it quits with his girlfriend Jayley Woo, a finalist in last year's The New Paper New Face competition and an aspiring actress.

Like the oft-melodramatic storylines found in MediaCorp dramas, the young couple's break-up turned out to be a tad scandalous too.

Last December, 17-year-old Edwin was spotted kissing local actress Dawn Yeoh, 25, on the lips at popular nightspot Zouk, reported Lianhe Wanbao earlier this week.

Woo, 21, said she felt something was amiss with him and checked his mobile phone.

To her shock, she discovered that her beau had texted Yeoh: "I enjoyed the kiss."

Yeoh, in return, sent Edwin the message: "You must be faithful to your girlfriend."

After entering showbiz in 2006, Yeoh was labelled one of MediaCorp's Seven Princesses, along with Joanne Peh and Rui En.

Then Woo found out that her boyfriend had grown close to Fu Fangrong, his teen co-star on the upcoming Channel U drama Jump, calling her "baby" in his text messages to her.

Edwin told Lianhe Wanbao that he and Fu were just friends. He confessed that he had kissed Yeoh, but denied two-timing Woo.

Explaining that the kiss with Yeoh was "a joke of sorts", he insisted that "it's impossible between us". Then, he revealed he had split up with Woo a few weeks ago.

Since the kiss with Yeoh went public, Edwin and Woo have been unusually low-key, a departure from their chatty selves during a joint interview with The New Paper last November where they gushed about their relationship.

Not only has Edwin deactivated his Twitter account, his mobile phone number is no longer in use.

Similarly, Woo declined an interview with The New Paper, explaining via SMS: "I'm really just keeping off the media regarding this. Hope you understand, so sorry."

However, their recent blog entries provided some insight into their respective emotional states.

In one post, Woo described herself as trying to hold back tears: "I don't think anyone really knows how it feels like to be me right now... my vision is kinda foggy."

Another entry saw her in a slightly more upbeat mood : "I'm not going to blog about anything related to that... people will deem that it's my side of the story. And haters are gonna hate anyway, so no point trying to explain to them."

As for Edwin, a blog entry titled "Tsk Tsk Tsk" hinted at his anger over people's reactions to the split.

"You dorks can definitely call me names," he wrote.

The New Paper contacted Edwin's good friend and On The Fringe co-star Ian Fang, who said: "Edwin is fine lah. He is okay. As a friend of his, I will definitely support him, no matter what."

When pressed if Edwin opened up to him with details about his break-up with Woo, Fang, 23, replied curtly: "No, we don't talk about things like that."

Yeoh, who had earlier told Lianhe Wanbao apologetically that the kiss was a result of one drink too many, remained reticent as well.

"I do not want to entertain exaggerated stories like this any more," she told The New Paper in an e-mail reply.

This article was first published in The New Paper.

      http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/nric-re-registration-at-age-55-to-be-compulsory-from-next/3286564.html

      Originally Posted by :
SINGAPORE: All Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) turning 55 years old on or after Jan 1, 2017, will need to re-register for a new National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) from January next year, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) announced on Monday (Nov 14).

The same requirement will also apply to those who have not been issued with a replacement NRIC in the 10 years before their 55th birthday, the agency said during a briefing.

The re-registration will cost S$10 for Singapore citizens and S$50 for PRs, ICA said, which is the same amount for NRIC registration at age 15 and re-registration at age 30.

ICA explained that this process is necessary as photographs on existing NRICs become outdated as NRIC holders get older, and may cause difficulties in identification, particularly for the elderly.

"Besides possible inconvenience to the NRIC holders, this may also lead to security risks because the authorities may not be able to correctly identify an individual based on his outdated photograph," ICA said.

The deputy director of Citizen Services Centre at ICA Chui Wai Cheng also said: "There's also the risk that if the card is to be picked up by another person, the person could assume the identity of the rightful cardholder. It could be financial transaction or attempting to purchase goods and services assuming the identity of another person."

Channel NewsAsia understands that ICA had received feedback on such cases, but does not track the numbers as some are private incidents and were not reported.

In addition, ICA said from 2017, it plans to collect iris images at the point of NRIC collection. This comes after the Parliament passed amendments to the National Registration Act to strengthen the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) on Nov 10.

Those who are required to re-register for their NRICs will receive a notification letter from ICA a month before their 55th birthday, according to ICA. They will have one year to complete the re-registration - from after they turn 55 years old up till before they turn 56. Those living abroad can re-register their NRIC within a year of their return to Singapore, ICA said.

ICA recommended that re-registration be done online via the ICA website.

"They can also re-register using the self-service kiosks located at the eLobby on Level 1 of the ICA Building. NRIC holders who are unable to re-register online can complete the hardcopy application form enclosed in ICA's notification letter and mail it to the ICA Citizen Services Centre," ICA said.

Re-registrations submitted online will take about three working days to be processed, while processing time for mail-in applications will be about two weeks, ICA said.

When re-registering, NRIC holders will need to update their personal particulars and submit a recent photograph of themselves, ICA said.

An acknowledgement card will be sent to those whose NRIC re-registration is successful. For collection, NRIC holders can book an appointment online, or via ICA's mobile app.

ICA added that it is an offence under the National Registration Act if the NRIC holder fails to re-register his NRIC within a year of turning 55 years old, or within one year of his return to Singapore if he resides overseas. ICA also said it will send out reminder letters both six and nine months after the NRIC holder turns 55 to ask him to re-register, if he has not done so.

For Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who turned 55 years old before 2017, optional re-registration of NRICs will be introduced from 2018, ICA said. Details will be provided next year.
