MikeC Posted May 4 Posted May 4 (edited) https://singlex35manga.com/chapter-1/ Mentioned in Straits Times - so I checked it out. Really nice to get manga based on Singaporean context. Drawings and situations feel authentic and I like the characters too We may have gone through some of the same issues and can resonate. Edited May 4 by MikeC Added picture Bern and PencilBoy 2 Quote
Why? Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Everybody is a manga; you experience childhood, adolescence, adulthood, middle age, senior citizenship, and old age. Why is manga so well-liked? Because the narrative, whether or not it is illustrated, is relatable. Usually non-fiction, the books help kids become ready for what's to come. For the elderly, it is a book that reflects their individual experiences. The genre is so expansive that the possibilities are endless; otherwise, it will be constrained by the artist's personal experience. Everybody and every circumstance has a place in it. If you have the means, it is good to support local artists. leckmich 1 Quote
MikeC Posted May 6 Author Posted May 6 Yeah good to support local, not just for the sake of supporting blindly but also to support reasonably good quality and if we enjoyed the work. At the end of the manga, there is a link to contribute “coffee money” if you enjoyed the manga. Hopefully enough success for author to continue the work and maybe publish in hardcopy + allow use of SG Culture voucher to pay for the hardcopy 🙂 leckmich and ziurtis 2 Quote

Why? Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I look forward to seeing gay character in manga. The story should be inclusive to look real. Quote
funky beaver Posted Sunday at 12:02 AM Posted Sunday at 12:02 AM I don't typically read manga. But why the bubbles have to be read right to left? Quote
