notd Posted July 7 Posted July 7 It occurred to me that it's likely not many gay men watch soccer matches. I was out grabbing supper when I got caught in the World Cup crowd at a nearby mamak. Went for a shawarma and ended up staying for the second-half of the match just people-watching and noting the crowd's excitement. I think there's a lot you can learn about a person from the way they cheer or despair when their favorite team is involved, and how some process victory and losses. You can also learn some quick soccer facts while watching with the crowd, and get to know people. Some men are very adorable when they cheer, and you realize it takes very little for these mostly heterosexual men to be happy. It's also flattering I had a few Middle Eastern men check me out too. Even for a non-scene person, the Egypt vs. Argentina match was easily entertaining. I think I might tune in for some of the matches leading up to the finals. Nivek 1 Quote
