Actually i had visited the National Skin Center 2 years back when i had an outbreak. I stopped visiting since last year Nov as my pimples on the face had cleared and i thought it was okay to stop the medication. However i never expect it to came back again. So this time round i decided to try the maple clinic which i heard was quite good. But why do i have to queue so early? Where is the clinic? I have never been there before.

I had seen Dr Ong from NiKs Maple Clinic at tampines. My outbreak recovered.

I will definately recommend u to see her. There are a few outlets and Dr Ong rotate her timetable within all outlet. You may wanna try their clinic at west coast. I did my facial with them at the laser clinic at the heeren.

Niks maple clinic has a lot of customers. They don't allow call to reserve a queue number. You need to go early to get the numbers. Here is the website for info and telephone number.

Wow, basking in such brisk business, its a pity their website design look so substandard. However, I am quite sure if they had a revamp in branding, they could really do even better.

Do they cure back acne? Are the treatments lasting and permanent?

I've had this pimple problem on my back for over 8 years and only recently they became acne. Last time I went to a dermatologist, she gave me antibiotic which caused an adversed effect. Had bad migraines, nausea and couldn't sleep too. Please help!

I used to have a really bad pimple problem on my face.

Went to Skin Centre, took some oral antibiotics and some skin antibiotics.

A few months later, skin cleared tremendously.

Now, i don't use anything, except the over the counter pimple cream for the occasional zit.

But I think what really helped was that I drank a lot of water everyday. even when i go out and eat, I still drink mineral water, hydrate everyday and eat a lot of vegetables.

The first consultation for me cost around 180 dollars. With 8 small bottle of cleansing lotion and products for application. Seen dr Ong twice to ensure that the product is suitable for my skin. Subsequently you can just get the products over the counter. It is very effective! Have seen a lot of other docs and took medicine for my outbreak but so far maple clinic is the most effective.

I too have terrible back acne

but I have learnt to live with it, as it is not the worst that the docs have seen..and it s cumbersome to always apply lotion/medication on the back by myself before going to work

You should not sleep naked if you hv back acne. Wear clean clothes to bed and change your bed sheets n pillow case and towel as often as u can.

I highly recommend nubian African black soap from iherbs.https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTTxMlTWYVR7ZWIBsHZX3-MQUQJqi5UD-pA3Ft8NQAaRMXknVqH Only cost a out sgd6/bar and very effective for acne on face and back. http://www.iherb.com/iherb-brands?rcode=JHW508

You do get free usd$5 if you are new to iherbs. You can also try neem oil. Super good to add it into aloe Vera gel or your moisturizer. Treat acne like miracle medicine. You can Google neem oil for acne or watch how other praised this miracle oil on YouTube. My routine is I mixed 3 drops of pure neem oil to 10ml of aloe Vera and use it on face, scalp and chest. I remix whenever the 10ml run out . Neem oil cost about sgd12/bottle and last for many years.

All are safe remedies. Good luck.

My friend who have severe acne went to the skin specialist at paragon. Heard that the medical director is gay too. He not only cured my friend's acne issue but also have after treatment options at the same clinic for laser therapy for acne scars. I must say the results was rather impressive! My friend now considering nose implants at the same clinic by another doctor!

Went through purging, but it was relatively gentle (no big, red, angry pimples), just a few small inflamed blackheads/whiteheads that cleared up after you pop them, hehe. I had an antibiotic that controlled the purging phase relatively well. I went to see Dr. Handry- very patient and nice doctor. (I've seen Dr. Ong in the past but her prescribed routine was not very effective for my skin type.) Most of my angry acne cleared up in the first week. only downside is that I had 8 different types of lotions to apply day and night. First appointment was $400, second was $160.

I had had acne problems for the longest time and I visited both national skin centre and niks maple clinic. For me, their medicines do help to control my acne problems only temporarily, but the problem will always resurface whenever I stopped their medicines.

and then... I found out that a lot of sex and regular sex do wonder to your skin...

I used to have my whole face filled with giant pimples, tried a lot of over the counter solutions and those pharmacy commercial brands but none work until I give up and wash my face with tap water only.

Now, I'm back to using commercial products for a few years, my face remain the same (occational pimples). But I can't get ride of the blackheads and clog pores. Wonder if going to the niks clinic can cure my current problem?

I have a friend who visit NSC and he had flawless skin, almost couldn't see his pores. But he told me he used to have pimples all over his face too..
