Baloo
Paying for the name, agreeable ONLY if you suggest a CLOSE or better substitute... so far, not many surpass Jade Kitchen in standard vis-a-vis price offered...btw, ordering 80 shou tau is good... u got the people to eat or distribute to? Guest Filialson
Thank you all for your kind response...it was a great celebration and my dad's face lit up when he saw those 80s mini buns! We have never prepared that for him throughout the years...always cake (though we also have a chocolate cake this year), so he LOVED it!In the end, we opted for the Teo Chew Pao stall at Toa Payoh. I know it's exactly high end, at 50 cents a bun. However, it's real good value and the taste is great..skin is thin and lian rong filling aplenty. Straits Times did a write up on them recently. We stacked those buns up like a high mountain, and was the center piece throughout the evening. After dinner, and the birthday singing, we gave each guest a bun along with a slice of the cake. Of course, the guests were able to tah pow a few more back when they left.So anyone thinking of doing the same in the future can consider the Teo Chew Pao stall. Thumbs up! junxiang
anyone need another source can consider the one below:3020 Ubi Ave 2on the ground floornot sure of the unit but there is only one unit there. The other day just saw on TV a very big Red Peach bun, break it open and inside got so many smaller ones. Quite cute ideal

Guest 老猫
人家庆生日,不是问年龄。他很有孝心。我想我老爸也会很高兴。可是我还没五十啦!四十多而已。。。哈哈哈。。。。
