No role models i guess. I notice younger generation guys seems more shy, although they have nicer body. Now when i walked past basketball court, hardly can see any guys topless. Those youngsters all are clothed.

Depends on where you are topless, you would still get some stare when you are topless. And also if your body nice or not.

I am always the role model running half way and ending part of my group jogging but not much people join me topless. Even when i jio someone successfully to run topless with me some is so shy that he want to run in the dark. Naughty me some times will grab their shirt and run off to more brighter area to force train them to be more gutsy lol

Was jogging topless earlier just before the afternoon rain and crossed paths with another topless jogger. We admired each other’s bodies as we passed and he winked. Is that an overture? Pasir Ris Beach was surprisingly littered with shirtless joggers this morning. Never have I encountered such fresh sights in my years running there in the mornings. Perfect motivation to get up early daily and hit the trails there.

My habit of running shirtless started when I was in NS. I was a Specialist and and posted to a camp opposite side from my house. It was a hassle to get home and make it back early the next morning. So I ended up going home every 2 days once. 

 

My free nights were usually spent in the gym or running around camp. I realised I was doing a lot of laundry in the weekends. So when I saw some of my fellow specialists gymming n running shirtless I decided to follow suit.

 

That habit continued after NS. Since there's not many gyms in Singapore where you can workout shirtless I just continue to go for my runs shirtless. I guess because I don't work regular office hours I get to avoid the crowds and go for my quieter runs in the afternoon without the stares.

Yeah. That’s true. NS is where I started picking up the habit of shirtlessness - with platoon mates being comfortable in their own skin, either in bunk or during PT, and it goes right into my years spent in Uni hostel too.

Yep. Many uncles going topless with no qualms, with no one staring.  It come naturally to the older generation.

Saw a fit shirtless guy walking along the road just opposite Yishun Park. I think he just completed his run as he was using his shirt to wipe himself. The weather is cool after the rain.

I think it's because it's an all male environment. Everyone is more comfortable I guess. 

 

The best was to go shirtless during night training. Nice and cool and if you're training hard enough you will be sweating like crazy.

 

Never experienced uni life as I did my degree while working. Is the experience similar to Ns. But of course there are girls now. So naturally guys would tend to show off.

Depends on timing. I realize when I jog on weekday afternoons 2-4 pm there are more shirtless joggers and less stares. But go at a time with more people like in the early mornings or evenings you get more stares as you are the minority. 

 

Yes. It's more of a habit than showing off. I've gotten compliments on my body before but I'm far from being a Greek god. I guess for a guy in his early 30s I'm in somewhat good shape. But there is always room for improvement.

Yup. Usually older guys have no qualms about it. A lot of them will just leave their home without a shirt entirely. Most are in great shape for their age but mostly admire them for their confidence.

Yeah. When you run shirtless frequently enough wearing a shirt can feel uncomfortable and unnatural. 

 

No need to be shy. Same as when you're topless at home or beach/pool. Free the nipple.

It's a must to apply sun block if run shirtless under hot sun.  Otherwise, you could develop brown spots or worse, skin cancer from overexposure to the sun.
