I highly recommend Red Inn Cabana which is just in Leith Street, near the Chocolate Factory , the Red Garden Food Paradise and Night Market and of course Upper Penang Road, where all the happening bars are. There are mixed dorms (max of 4 people) in one room and there are also rooms for one/couples with built-in toilet/bath.
