Only a 45 min drive and you will be in an oasis of calm. The fresh air and greenery will recharge you, mind, body and soul.At Taman Sari, we offer a unique retreat experience with bed and breakfast for those who love open air, gardens and a natural environment with a breathtaking view.Located close to a village where time has almost stood still with the surrounding area having a lot to offer. Sample local cuisine in the village or go exploring the rivers and waterfalls that are famous with city folk during the weekend. You could also be involved in other activities that are offered nearby such as jungle trekking, animal farm, horse riding, local handicraft and many more.FacilityWe are situated on an acre of hillside garden, overlooking forest reserve. There is a parking area at the main entrance. As you walk up to the main house you will be greeted with a serene tropical setting with a vast collection of plants and statues. This private residence has been featured in both local magazines and television. The main house acts as the reception area, build from recycle wood in the design of a traditional Malay house. Complete with both indoor and outdoor dining area where guest will have dinner if they choose to dine with us.We Offer privacy and exclusivity thus we only have one unit available. This we call “The Bothy” independent and away from the main house. There is a breakfast area with facilities to make toast, coffee and tea. We do not provide cooking facilities. The bedroom has only 3 walls, with the forth side open to take in the view of the sunrise. But in case its bit bright, we do have chick blinds to bring down to provide a shadow effect. The bathroom is semi open air, with hot and cold water. There is also an outdoor dining area if you like to have your breakfast in the garden. The compound of the house is surrounded with a fence and we have chicken running around to gives a village effect.There are plenty of other areas that guest can use around the garden to relax and enjoy the environment. We can also provide a place for a small reception or a private party. Just ask, what other arrangement can be made.GardenThe main attraction of Taman Sari is the garden. You will find a vast collection of plants that have been collected over the last 12 years. Most of the plant here are heliconia, ginger and costus.We keep our own chicken for the eggs, so you can be sure that you can get fresh kampong eggs to take home with you. Some of the chickens were rescued from a slaughter house and some we hatched our self. We also have other exotic birds, but you will have to come and look for yourself.There are 3 ponds all with natural running water, stocked with Koi and other small fish. The water is piped from a natural source, it’s fresh and cool and we also use it throughout the house. However we provide mineral water for drinking.Getting ThereWe are located at Batu 18 Hulu Langat, with easy access from Ampang or Cheras. Roughly it will take about 45 min drive form city centre (KLCC area or Bukit Bintang)Upon confirmation of the booking, full direction will be given.Check InCheck in 3:00pmCheck out 1:00pmLight refreshments will be served upon arrival.Rates include for bed and breakfast for 2.
