Guest Lunarstone
I just want to find out if anyone here prefers organic products such as soap, shampoo, etc over non-organic?
azimuth
I would prefer organic as well as natural healing products than popping pills where possible. The world is too polluted.

Even worse are the so called "ARTISAN" shit they market nowadayshome made bread, charge u arm n legas Ah Beng would say, "kaneh nah..." Don't think there's such thing as "$200 a slice" for organic bread...but I see your point. See, the stuff that's more genetically modified and not organic is cheaper because they use methods that include using cheap additives so you'll come back for more. Organic food is more expensive because it takes a lot more labour-intensive effort to grow and harvest the various plants, and even for meats and poultry you need to feed them food that they will need to grow, and you also need to factor in maintenance costs for farmland as the animals need more space for their muscle development so you get naturally-developed, fresh and tender meat as opposed to hormone-treated meat. For things like homemade bread and stuff, it plays into the cost of making the product and the ingredients needed to make them. Also, consider this: would you prefer paying slightly more for food that's healthier, or for regular doctor's visits for more critical illnesses? Imagine if you get cancer, you've to pay for meds, chemo, consultation, ward fees, admission fees, fees for any follow-up medicine and appointments, and regular checkups every month or 2 months which include X-rays, CTI, CAT and MRI scans, etc. If you're lucky, you get coverage up to so much, but even then you'd be looking at a lifetime of medical costs once you get hit with any of such illness. And, of course, you've to consider the relapse after you've been declared cancer-free. So just imagine that. Even with heart attacks, diabetes, stroke, organ failure, and even hypertension and cholesterol issues. Having said that, you choose if you prefer to pay just a little more for healthier food or a lot more for medical costs. I'd choose the former, whether I was you or not.
