Admin: Bw Site Problem These Last 2 Days

There is a major SAN disk (hard disk) crash at our hosting site.

They are reinstalling and rebuilding the disks.

They assured us no data was lost as they RAID it ( techie talk for write to 2 harddisk).

In the mean time, access to database (hard disk) is slowed and hence the system load errors you guys are seening.

To mitigate this, we have temporarily disabled the chat which is heavy on resources,

Problem is expected to be resolved by tomorrow (Sunday).

We re-enabled chat. Still monitoring. Expect to be back to normal operations by 2am tonight.

Just checked. The San harddisk restoration is completed. Database is in order too.

Blowing wind forum is back to normal speed.

Chat is also back in operation.

small issue considering that we are getting all these FOC (or at least most of us are not paying anything for it) while you and the moderators are sweating over the site, its operations and posts. Thanks hendryTan and all those working behind the scene.
