See what happens when people do not follow Cesar Millan's method of establishing your authority as pack leader of your dog and some people like to treat their dogs like a human which they are not. Dogs are dogs and their behaviour follows a strict pattern according to Cesar Millan, when people continue to treat the dog wrongly like nurturunbg the wrong behaviour sometimes they have to pay the price when they get involved in the dog fights with theior own blood.

Some people have to learn the hard way, she thinks it is so nice to have  a nose ring, probably a lesbian, if you cannot show pack leadership and protect your dog, your dog , even asmall pooch may want to protect you when a big dog approaches and then all hell breaks loose.

Hope she gets PTSD for life.

It depends what you mean by moribund. I'm a believer in euthanasia even for humans. If a family member is dying in pain and wished to be terminated, I would agree to help if it were legal. Sometimes, as has happened to me, a family member was in a coma and on life support. The choice was easy as I knew the family member very well and knew turning off life support was the right (albeit painful) thing to do.

My dog is to me like a family member. The big conundrum is I obviously can't have a meaningful conversation with my dog. I only pray I have the conviction if the time comes.

A corollary of that is that I would not put down my dog just because it has become inconvenient to me to give it proper care in its old age.

For me it is a question of quality vs quantity of life. If the dog has all of the following:

1. Very old (i.e maybe 16)

2. Inappetant

3. In constant pain due to terminal disease

4. Recumbent and unable to walk

I would opt for euthanasia. Some diseases will put them through a slow, agonizing, and painful death. I would not want my beloved pet to go through that.

The said dog is around 14.0++ years old.

Still can eat by putting food near the mouth, cause already blind.

not sure painful but seems to take effort to breathe

cannot stand up. recumbent position all the time including peeing and pooing.

cannot recognize or behaviour change. trying to bite when cleaning him from the pee and poo.

Feel like the time is near for him but suffering to see such condition.

The current decision is to care for the dog until his last day. They believe the moment is near. Another concern is the cost I think, if were to put him to sleep.

Last year, a week before Christmas, I met accident so I had to walk in crutches. I went to tampines central go buy some stuff. I was sitting with at the benches with my drink. There was one old man was asking me how I got my leg injured. He talked to me cos he also had the same problem. He met an accident 6 years ago so he went in and out of hospital. At home, he had his wife and his dog. His faithful dog was waiting for him to recover and get reunion with him. However, his gp told him at he cannnot recover due to some medical problems. So he had to go in and out of his hospital. by the time, he recovered, his faithful dog pass away. He cried when he told me his story. I did drop my tears too. It was so heart pain to hear his story. He wanted to reunion with his dog but his injured separated both of them. He bought beer and he drank his problem away for his dog.

Which breed is better? I always wonder why dogs are getting locked for several minutes during sex and can’t take the cock out. Does it also happen to human?

Sometimes a dog stories, may it be a cheery or traumatic, it cannot be re created or format as non fictional stories. It has to be a relationships there to embrace the sunny and stormy. Like my two dogs, one German Shepard and jack Russell! They were like in a love hate relationship. I always will ask the big dog to scould the small ones when playing. The big dog will bark at him like as instructed. However, after two day before the small dog gone, the big dog was gone too! I think there should be a very strong bond there, that the big dog knows that the small dog is gone! And also do not want to continued already!

My dog has been seeing 4 different vets because of tumours growing out of his anal gland. He was supposed to be scheduled for operation. However, he was bleeding one night and I could not get hold of the vet for appointment (his off day) and had to resort to seeing another vet nearby. This new vet did not recommend the operation due to the possible complications and being too near the anal region. That would put him into a great risk of post-operation infections. I agreed to go through a castration procedure with her and monitor his condition. One of the tumour did not respond well and was flaring up quite badly. Another vet from the same clinic has been seeing him since (she was away) and operation was one of the possible options he pointed out, but exercised with great care and caution, and a blood test prior op was arranged.

At the very last minute, this female doctor returned to Singapore, intervened and refused to carry out the operation m, (even though blood test was done in the morning for the purpose of op.) He was placed under medication and possibly referred out to specialists. I have not gotten an email regards to the referral and I was contemplating my options and have been asking around for advice.

As of today, a week has past and the steroid medication did not do much. I have reverted to the previous vet for a consultation today. I feel that the operation would improve his quality of life and avoiding depend on steroids for a long term to contain his condition. Putting on pampers and a cone to prevent him from licking for the rest of his years seems to be difficult and uncomfortable. Although at 13 years old, he is still very agile and has great persona, behaviour, movement and bounce. He does not seem like his age. The only thing that is bothering him, and me, would be that tumour at his rectum.

I wonder if anyone here has a great advice for my consideration.

Primal freeze dried nuggets, supplemented with salmon oil, herbs, carrots, and fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, very occasionally durians; whole meal bread and brown rice.

I have arranged for an operation for him the coming week. Upon assessment, the chances of it being cancerous is low although not ruled out. The bill is likely to come up to $4-5K. It's a big hit on me. But all I care now is that he recovers quickly and get well soon, spend the rest of his years in comfort and joy, until death do us part.

For those who had met him and adored him, you are most welcomed to pay him a visit after the operation.

Hope all goes well for your dog tjan_troy. :) Best wishes for a speedy recovery for him.

Thank you so much for your love. He is doing well after op. Although it was really tough for him and myself initially, we have learnt to overcome the hurdles one after another in our own ways. I love him so much!

That's great to hear. They really become members of the family.

When I was staying with my parents, we had adopted a rescue dog and he always slept with me after he overcame his fears and stopped snapping at me. Just passed 4 years since we first got him.

Yeah, he does. I get the biggest welcome every time I go to visit - mom gets ignored then. :p

Possibly in time to come, when I'm more settled and have my own place. Gotta see how it goes too - I mean, don't want to be at work and the dog locked up all day too.
