Vietnam - Massage / Sauna (Compiled)

Yeah they have really good customer service! The ice tea is free of charge, free flow! The bottle of water is included as well in the price. You pay everything when you leave.

It was raining as well when I left so this really handsome and tall Vietnamese guy asked me if I needed a taxi and of course I said yes (ask them, otherwise it's a bit complicated to ask the driver to go where you want to go.... you need to stop the taxi on the other lane, so you have to cross the crazy traffic, a la Vietnamese (which is kinda fun haha) and then wait there. Cars drive quite slowly because there is some kind of a toll booth to cross the bridge so all cars come out quite slowly to engage on the bridge to head back into town.

Anyway, that guy (forgot his name, darn) spoke good English, took an umbrella and escorted me to the road, told me to be careful when crossing and stopped a cab for me. On the way there he asked me where I needed to go and explained to the driver. Really, awesome service!

The only negative is, indeed, that the place is a bit out of the way but it's well worth it!

google translation works quite well, most of my conversations were used via it. Mostly, they understand simple english and body gestures for the places I go...

Well, just came back from hcmc again. Also found out that the boys who work there in adamspa actually had to pay a fee to work there.... so if they do not have or enough business and tips, they end up with nothing. their fine is 500kvnd. Well, lucky those who served me before would not have to pay that cos I always give a big tip... :D

and ya... got the guy's number and had been in contact since.

Ayiah it's more than safe!

Stop believing blindly what the media are reporting.... it's like BKK, they always make it sound 100x worse than it really is.

Vietnam is safe as long as you stay in the city and touristic places. I was in Hanoi, Danang, Hoi An during those events and we did not see anything, no one was worrying... same in HCM. Just stay informed of the current situations and don't venture out in the suburbs where all these huge factories are and you'll be fine.

My Viet friends posted so many fed up comments on their FB saying that it's not at all the way the media described it....

If really you're worried, then postpone...

I'll be in Hanoi again from July 12-13 and HCM July 19-20

Well, nothing out of the norm here in hcmc.... still fun.

Checked out the new Guy Spa, the place is just a stone throw away from nam spa. masseur are cute and pressure is there. Massage was clean, the massage beds are separate by a translucent cloth so don't expect much to start with.

Went to man wow spa, quite okay, same like guy spa, massage beds separated by cloth but non see through... before my massage session starts, the next bath already got kinky sounds....

Found a massage parlor in Dist 1 with guys massage. was taken there by one of the street pimp when I ask for guy massage. 1st time i was charged 400 entry... the next time i went myself is 250. like a normal massage place and was told got guys and gals. I go there always around 4am after drinks so I am not too sure about how's the day time.

Name Hai Son, top floor of Hai Son hotel, So you guys can check it up.

I think it's all depends on what you'd like. I read that if for full body, it's expected to be at least 200k but it seems that Cosmo give 150k and it's acceptable.

My tips normally range on 200 to 500 depends.

200k for a normal/bad body massage or a good foot massage (Foot massage you should try liberty 4 hotel foot massage, really impressive and the entry is 180kvnd)

300k for a good massage or I really like the therapist

500k or above for you know what.

Outcall massage range from 800 to 1500 for in room services.

I know.... I tip like I was thinking of sgd... Most locals and foreigners tipped much lesser than I do.

I remember on one of my previous trip that a Japanese complained the female therapist mocked at him for tipping her 80k... So I guess better to tip at least 100 or to be safe, 200 or equal to the value of the massage entry/charge.

Btw, it's quite safe... I had been running all over the places during this trip and nothing happened. If you don't feel safe then don't alight the cab till you are sure that it is the place that you want. Even if I'm really drunk and I still remember saying my sg street name to the cab driver... in the end I still reach back hotel safe and sound.

Just prepare name cards and address on your phone to show the cab driver. They will not understand our pronunciation of the road name.

But really, it's very safe. I had been picked up twice, put on helmet and hop on their motorbike to the destination.

im in hanoi now. nightlife sucks, closed down real early. anyone wanna hangout tomorrow?

Yup bars close at midnight by law.... but some stay open unofficially...  ;)

I went out last weekend, of the hotel, at 1am and when i asked for a taxi at the hotel, they looked at me weird thinking "where the hell is he going?"

And the streets were just dead empty...

I prefer HCMC.

Hmm... it's kinda off the grid of fun... and the hotel, I guess it's not guest friendly...

Btw, try the clubs around you. clubs generally are mixed gene. If you really itchy, I'm sure you can find pimps around the area. especially near hai ba trung. For massage with HE, check utopia. Most massage boys are willing to go with you for a price... but stories by people who share are that they will rob you... lolx.

Chk my previous posts.

Any massaur please email me asap gary_taizi@hotmail.com

Try massage at Pink Tulip Hotel in Bui Vien Street..It is in District1. Check their website on Utopia Asia for address. It is a veeery gay friendly hotel with massage rooms, too  and some of the massage guys will exactly know what you want. Go there on a Mai Linh taxi. Avoid massage boys who go around on bycicles, they are very AYOR. Pity I come to Saigon end of August , would have been no problem for me to give first hand information.
