At least the easy catch window was extend till next day. T-tars are useful against many of the legendaries. I keep a stable of 5+5 (B/C + B/SE) just for that. Maintain a Machamp harem too, though I prefer to blend all 3 of my gym battle teams with 3 Machamps each with a mix (grass+Raikou+dragon / Raikou+ice+Mew2 / Raikou+ice+dark). That gives me 3 good mixes for taking down most gym combos. My 4th is a combo I only get to use overseas, it has only a single Machamp in it. My BF has so many shiny that he had to throw away some. His gym battling combs are also slightly different, though he copies the 3 machamp composition like mine. He is more fond of Tyranitar and Aggron though. Ursaring with fight move to keep snorlax at bay. Machamp is better true, but their HP sucks.... Coconut tree to take out most things with psychic moves... find that they can take damages pretty well, just keep them away from fire.... juz shoot! A sample team set-up for me - MaChamp, MaChamp, MaChamp, Raikou, ice-type, Tyranitar. Machamp to take out the typical Blissey/Chansey/Snorlax/Aggron/Ttar sets you find in 95% of the gyms here. A little dodge+attack conserves my potion stockpile. Ice-types like Articuno or Lapras to deal with the Dragonites and occasional Salamance, also effective against Exeggutors and Venusaurs. Raikou, the simplest solution, fast, strong against Vaporeons, Lapras, water and ice types, both of which are also relatively common in gyms. T-tar is a Bite/Crunch combo, good for the Gardevoirs and X-plaster-faces that flyers seem to love to park in gyms here. My other combos uses Mewtwo instead (obvious reasons) or Dragonite with DB/DC legacy moves. The fact is that fire-types, Espeons and Umbreons, Gengars and Alakazams, are not that commonly found in 85% of the gyms here. In my area, they are non-existent! That makes for easy taking down, esp for solo players like me. My solo play is made more acute by the fact that my gym hour is my cat-feeding/patrol hour - zero other Mystic players.
