Guest Lesson Learnt
Hi guys, I've recently had unprotected sex as a top. DSC reckons my odds are 1:10000. I have started PEP within the 72 hr window from a private doctor. The DSC has since referred me to the CDC because they do not carry truvada and worry that my foei gras liver will not be able to take the older generation pep that the DSC stocks. Does anyone here have any experience with the CDC ? Im worried about having it on record.
wintersnow
as long as you are not positive, your records will not get transmitted to moh. the rest of the consultation records are just maintained as per others. i wanted to extract my own records from cdc and for that, they made me go through the entire same process as how you would need to retrieve medical records in other ttsh specialist clinic so far, my experience with cdc is fine. all sorts of people goes there. rem, zika, dengue patients are also treated there too so dont need to be tense about it. of course sometimes, from the prescriptions, can tell who are those who came for PEP, who are those that are infected and who are those that are there for other purposes so far i guess the cdc doctors are professional and like your case, they will provide you their medical opinion and if you still wish to proceed with the pep, they will still prescribe and you go through the whole process of blood test, follow ups and so on........... mate69

wintersnow
was attended by a mixture of males and females. i think they are now starting to have the same doc (as per pos case) to attend to the same patient now instead of a random one on duty
doncoin
The gender of the nurse or doctor is irrelevant. You probably are not the first gay man they ever treated. Truvada may have some initial side effects on some people, but they go away after a while depending on how your body adjust to it. Love.

I would always prefer to see a male doctor first, and my GP is male and gay, and it helps a lot when describing health issues that gay men are prone to have. lovehandle 1 Love. In most cases, your kidney function is more important than your liver function unless one supersedes another.
