p2468
Seeing guys with well built chest looks so good in hugging T-shirts. Mine is as flat as plane runway. How to build chest muscles?
Miko333
regular work-out at the gym, check for exercise particular to the chest, in parallel with exercise better to invest also with protein drinks for faster result. thickpec
betty21
I agree with Miko. Work-out at the gym is the perfect way to gain muscles. Beside you can apply some supplementary methods that support for your process. As my opinion, food is a good supporter. According to many research, edamame is very beneficial to gain muscles. This property has the root from its richness of proteins and amino acids. Protein-rich foods are often considered as valuable addition to those who want to build more lean muscle. This is also the conclusion of the article: https://wikihomenutrition.com/edamame-health-benefits Hope it could be helpful!
Guest Derrick C
p2468 - I totally feel you. I used to be really obese and when I lost all my fats, what was left was someone who was super skinny. Where I used to have moobs, I now had a flat chest. That was when I went to a gym and told the PT that I wanted to do an experiment - see if I can build chest, do pull ups and push ups. I ended up going to the gym three times a week to do that for 2 years, I only started seeing some results at the end of 1 year, at the end of 2, I have to say my chest receive attention when I was in gym wear or a tight fitting t shirt. There was some mass and i didn't have much of a tummy. At that time, I wasn't eating supplements - no protein shakes etc. then after that I had a change of jobs and the stress and irregular work intensity made me put on 16kg, and my stomach became huge again. i started dieting and did more cardio again, but this time, I did a more strict body building diet with protein 2.5g my body weight, I was consuming 180g-200g a day, chicken breast, protein powder you got it. i lost half of the stomachs, but I noticed the gains in my legs and chest were different this time round. My chest never ever had a lower part, with it being ❤️-shaped with my nipples at the tip. But I've noticed it has since developed to be more round in shape with my nipples moving to the side and I'm developing chest muscles under my nipples. what do I do? Flat bench press, incline bench press, dumbbell presse, flies, push ups, machine flies, always going for the squeeze and the pump. Is my chest now the size of pornstars and other gym goers? No, considering that I started from zero and had to train for 2 years where after I had anothrr 1 year of training. For Sibgaporean guys or guys in general that have done sports or training since 14 or 15, what you see today at 20-23 years are many more years of effort, dieting discipline than me, I'm not contented with what I have but I'm realistic. Put in the hard work and you'll get the results. what are my current goals, dumb bell presses of 38kg to 40kg each arm, bench of 100kg or more, I would probably train faster with a spotter, but this is for mass. like it or not, while I have a 41 inch chest, I'm 1.8m and have a tummy still. Put a 41 inch on a 1.65cm dude and with 7% fat and he'll look so much bigger. I can only blame my greedy mouth lol. I hope this helps, don't r filled with gym envy of people who are way ahead of you, but strive to emulate their work ethic! At least that's what I'm telling myself to! gymfan32
How often do you train your chest? While it is important to have a full body workout, you do need to focus more on chest exercises if your goal is to build a bigger chest. Muscle
I have a flat chest after training it for a year. I think you should see the way charles glass train his client. I follow the way he train. It is really effective. Now my chest have a shape and look okay. Not as big as arnold. Try to do more upper chest because upper chest is hard to build mLy_dxkie and smallperson

thickpec
Many people say that having their nipples pointing downwards is a good sign that they have trained their chest well. Do you agree? I don't think so. Look at the guy at 9:08. I prefer the other guy's body. What do you guys think? fab

You can try different kinds of push up to target different areas of your chest. Normal pushup, diamond pushup etc. Make sure you feel strain on your chest muscle when doing pushup. If you dont feel it you should adjust your pushup until you feel it. As for pull up use overhand grip than underhand grip if you want to train chest. Porcupine
Mind-muscle connection is important. When doing bench presses or pushups, try to consciously contract the chest muscles (ie. squeeze the chest and bring your upper arms towards each other as you push). It should feel more tiring and you may end up with less reps or lighter weights, but eventually you should be able to focus on using the chest for these pushing exercises. Typically, there will be more pump (chest muscles temporarily looking bigger after the workout). Also may have some delayed onset muscle soreness in the chest. Yes, that is a notion that I've heard about since a long time ago, it's not a new concept. I believe men tend to generally think to have their chests puffed up while their nipples are concealed as they are pointing downwards is appealing because they won't be poking through the fabrics of their shirts. I suppose they look manly that way. thickpec

Diamond pushup train the vertical center part of the chest. When you do it you should be able to feel the strain on the vertical center part unless you doing it wrong.
