Gone are the days where you only get singapore news from state media from SPH or Mediacorp. Infact, i cancelles by daily Straits Times years ago. I no longer get my local news from Straits Times ot Channel News Asia. Singapore now has many news channels and I now get my daily news from All Singapore Stuff, Wake Up Singapore, Must Share News, The Online Citizen, TR Emeritus. I am also very much into The Independent which I must say is very much like its UK counterpart. I also find States Time Review as a reliable site. What I find is that these sites have a balanced style of reporting and its reporters are working on the ground hard to get that balance. The reporters also reports news as it is. No coverups or one sided. I believe sooner or later, sites like All Singapore Stuff, Wake Up Singapore, States Times Review and The Independent will be a global force like The New York Times.
