If you reach certain age (number), you are a reject item.  If you didn't score certain grade (number) you became sidelined.  If you ask for certain salary scale (Number) you are deemed expensive to hire.  If you don't meet earn certain points (Number) you cannot enjoy discount on grocery.  If the econony didn't hit certain growth (number) it is called recession.  Number starts from the big bang, physics used number to caculate when earth was formed and how far the distance of our universe.  In the gay world, we often talk about the length of dick or the size of body (both pertained to numbers too).

Life is about numbers,  we count each second and each day of our life through numbering them.  Through numbers, we know when the sun rise and what time the sun set or the coming of 4 seasons.  Minister used the number of digits of their salary to measure the worth, and than try hard to win majority of votes by numbers.

I think SG is particularly bad in this because of the way people have always been defined by numbers. What's your PSLE. What's your O Level aggregate. What's your IPPT etc.

Dating in gay circle all about numbers too. 1/0. Age. Height. Weight. Length. Girth. Salary. House district. No. of houses. No. of degrees. No. of dogs. No. of overseas holidays per year.

It's not about lofty ideals about one's "laugher" and the "meaning behind" and "connection", etc. Those fluffy stuffs. That's just things one says when one bullshits.
