LOL! Yes, that show-off spent that $1 million just to brag. And it is you who claimed that he is not rich since it is you who claimed that the rich people do not behave that way, OK? LOL. Go check it out yourself. How many people have revealed themselves after winning the meal with Warren Buffet? Not many, but he was the fastest to come out to BRAG about it.

This is truly an expensive restaurant. I collect wines.. but the most expensive wine they order is a chinese white wine Moutai instead of the french. I have one sitting on my table.. cost around 6k. But they charged $36k. Who wanna partner open restaurant?

Used to work in RWS. Trust me, that isn't the most expensive meal. You replace those Moutai with Romanee-Conti, and a couple of it at that.... After you work there with the high rollers for awhile, $240,000 is a small sum...

Wow! Have they good Bordeaux too?:P

That is why these casinos should not be built. All these monies can be transfered to charities and community work that teach tolerence, caring hearts, willingness to serve and knowledge instead of meals, lust, greed.

Well I rather casinos be built. Why? First off, job creation. Better economy and more things for foreigners to visit and spend in Singapore. Also many of the high rollers are foreigners from the "dark side", thus it's Best they contribute to Singapore's economy rather then bringing those money to wash in other countries. As for the money to be used for charities, etc. Well they are from the dark side, don't expect them to do so. Not to mention the world has the capabilities to eradicate poverty, but every countries for themselves, so you can't expect every individuals to be so charitable. Most humans tend to think more for themselves then others, if not, the world will be a much more peaceful and united place.

Guest Eating Home now

With due respect to those who were shocked.  Let me tell you something.  Whoever dined in RWS, deserved to be charged more and I have not a single tint of sympathy for them.  You picked the "right" place to eat and should logically be paying for the "right" price. We have heard a simple dish of nasi lemak in Vivo already costing a bomb, let alone eating in a restaurant with so many dishes.  Besides, those who paid that kind of price came from an egoistic wealthy person, why should we feel the pain for him?  He is obviously not a broke nor a beggar.  The diner may not even call himself a charitable person in this society, let him pay for what he get.

The only scenario which I will question the fairness of price is when I see people, eating in Hawker center and were eventually made to pay hundred of bucks for a normal dish.  This, I cannot stand it.

So ya, in anyway, I am not going to be bothered nor angered by all of the above.  It is not my money and these people certainly earn more, than they deserved, to flaunt around.  I have no complain of what they get in return for wanting more in their life.
