I really enjoyed this series called Food Safari, which is by Australia (not strictly Asian, but various episodes cover Asian countries such as Chinese cuisine, Vietnamese cuisine etc. and delves into food culture as well as representative recipes). Educational and colourful diversity!

Well currently passing through Hong Kong and saw this set of cooking equipment featured in tonight's cooking show.

 

I'm very tempted to buy that set but the price is about S$ 200..should I get it..

You mean the electric stove with different tops to cook/fry different things? Not bad, can save some trouble... If doing it on a saucepan you would need different-shaped casings, which is a bit more difficult to flip to cook underside...

Well as I did not buy any check-in luggage allowance on my trip home, I did a rainchecked.  The Bruno brand sold at Broadway Electronics is slightly pricer than that at EcHome.

The expected damage at EcHome is about HKD 950 for a full set which includes 4 pans and a shabu-shabu dish whereas Bruno (which is the Iphone clout of ovenwares) starts from HKD 1400.  

**The price quoted in Singapore starts from SGD 350 upwards..way too high..
