Thinking of having a potluck  gathering where each of us bring/cook an item to share..

(I can't host for now, unfortunately.. don't have my own place yet )

Probably not cny cuz everyone will be busy...hmmm..not looking at any particular dates...

well, i think cny eve and first day of cny, there are many readers that are not visiting relatives or friends, is good to have such small gathrering and majong and cards session

yes, which is why I felt during that festive - should be a good time cos even if u r a Chinese, why might no longer do house-visiting anymore esp of older age

 

if there is a need to tag along w parents, the young ones could also have their time of own too

 

but but but durin that period , many houses/flats not available cos relatives comeby , and pop by (very hard to set a timing aside)

unless those who r living alone (w BW as your best friend)

 

however, I luv Samuel's idea of encouraging pp to whip something or to make purchases, if u really cannot cook (CNY period, nearly all r closed, some wet mkts even have food shortages)

Gentle reminder: unless someone take action, if not it is gonna be an empty discussion just like I remember there was talk on underwear party,  learn-to-cook session as well as language lesson

only when something is setup then maybe , it will run, if not even yummy amos cookies cannot even kickstart, I was really looking forward to some groups esp so much was said

hopefully it will not invite pp w the wrong/ill intention

I know there is for sure a jogging group that runs cos gays like to keep fit right?

 

I even personally invite certain pp to teach (cooking/baking) before I can even start something, but all the chefs/expertise (u know I wont randomly pick anyone for fun) became rather shy, as usu I don't force adults to do things which they r not comfy, I myself could teach too but again teaching and doin it alone is very diff

• some r NOT even willing to pay for a single cent if costs are involved ,

I like potluck too but i am a vegetarian and normally i will bring my own food myself in case others dont have the food i need to eat for my dietary restriction.
