DrKartist
Bad news for smokers, HongBao for all Singaporeans aged 21 and above and that 9 % GST between 2021 to 2025. And wait, e-taxes on that music and apps you download from Jan 2020! What are your thoughts????

LeanMature
Increase GST to support healthcare for elderly is like robbing the younger generation to pay for their future healthcare. That's to say the Medishield Life or Medisave is questionable. Quote Don't read and response to guests' post
leo yok loo
GST increase means one thing: the low income will suffer more, the rich dont feel a thing. I think middle class will disappear in the future..left the rich and the poor.
lonelyglobe
that's the realistic part, in sg u either fight your way to be the rich or let yourself to be the "poor", those stuck in between suffer the most 17 hours ago, LeanMature said: Increase GST to support healthcare for elderly is like robbing the younger generation to pay for their future healthcare. No choice, with increasing old age and decreasing birth, eventually 3 working adult will have to support 1 old folks

So rich people buying cars and branded goods will pay more while not affecting the low income. What is the point of giving Ang bao here and then taking back from GST ? leo yok loo
You will see the price of everything going up. For the rich, maybe they will buy 2 sports cars instead of 3..no problem. Well i think is better if our PAP garman make GST 10% ...no problem also because next election they will win 75% or more.
