    Pink Dot 2016

    until
Singapore is home to many cultures. Since independence, Singaporeans have lived and worked harmoniously with people from all walks of life. We are indeed proud to be in a nation that values and celebrates diversity. Openness, understanding and tolerance are important tenets of our society. In Singapore, however, very little is known about a segment of Singaporeans – the LGBTs (lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered individuals). Out of fear and ignorance, prejudice forms. Many negative things have said about the LGBT community; that they are abnormal, anti-family, perverse, demented, diseased… the list goes on. Safe to say, the LGBT community in Singapore has been subject to a multitude hate speech and bigotry. Pink Dot recognises that many Singaporeans are conservative. However, we also recognize the dangers that prejudice and bigotry can have on our social fabric. We are mindful that in some countries, hate crimes towards the sexual minorities have spurred outcries and social unrest. https://www.facebook.com/pinkdotsg/info/?tab=page_info

    Christmas Day

Christmas Day is on 25 December each year and is one of two Christian public holidays in Singapore. The other is Good Friday. Christmas Day celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ and Good Friday remembers his death. In Singapore, we have the joy of all the Christmas celebrations without the cold weather that traditional countries like England and North America have. Our streets come alive with Christmas decorations and lighting. One place to experience this joyous time of the year is in Orchard Road where shopping centres like Marina Bay Sands, Takashimaya, Tangs, ION Orchard and Wisma Atria seem to compete with each other for the most stunning decorations and effects. All of Singapore comes alive at Christmas. In November, the Sentosa HarbourFront holds a synchronised ‘light up’ – where a switch brings the whole zone to life. There are public performances and fireworks, food and singing, programs for children and shopping for adults. And to top off the atmosphere and excitement, choirs of children sing Christmas carols and street acrobats show their skills amongst decorations and Christmas trees. People of all religions enjoy the fun and festivities of Christmas, but Christians also attend church services on Christmas Day and consider it a day of worship and remembrance of Jesus Christ. Many restaurants put on Christmas meals and buffets that include turkey stuffed with lobster, truffles, Scottish salmon, honey-glazed ham, fresh seafood, and desserts like chocolate soufflé, gingerbread crème brulee and Yule logs. In family homes where Christmas is celebrated, family members exchange gifts on the evening before Christmas or on Christmas morning. And, even this far from the cold climates, it is not uncommon for families to eat roast turkey, roast vegetables and then follow it with an enjoyable dessert of Christmas pudding and custard.

Come for anonymous testing by AFA at: 750 Victoria Street, Singapore (Bugis MRT exit A) The MTS van is the first in Singapore and is an extension and expansion of the Anonymous Testing and Counselling Service (ATS) based in the DSC Clinic in Kelantan Lane. The ATS, which operates three times a week, is the busiest of the seven anonymous HIV test sites in Singapore approved by MOH. The operating hours will be flexible. The MTS van will also be parked at targeted locations in order to complement with AfA

  24. The ice-cold chains clings loosely onto your bare skin, its chill kisses your weaker spots on every movement. You shudder, and your vibrations are drawn away to meet his eager build as he draws you in from behind. You cannot see his face from this position, but the throbbing warmth nestled in the curve of your back flashes depraved, aggressively lustful expressions in your head. You are dazed by the enticing breath against your ear, smelling like a hot-blooded mix of booze and aftershave. His words nimbly glide into your consciousness.

Fetish Sex & BDSM : By OC

    until
Fetish Sex & BDSM (1 November) This session is devoted to a discussion about sexual adventurism in the forms of fetish sex and BDSM (bondage, discipline, sado-masochism). What are the precautions one should take in order to keep these activities safe, healthy and respectful of different parties? Taboo Conversations offers a safe platform for gay and bisexual men to discuss about topics that are relevant to them. These topics may not feature commonly in daily conversation as some are too private to be discussed in social outings, while others set off heated debates. Whether you are interested in topics that may raise eyebrows or set people thinking, we invite you to join us at the Taboo Conversations, where you can share your own experiences and learn more about these topics. Taboo Conversations is planned for men age 18 years and above. These sessions are free and light refreshments will be provided. You may sign up for as many sessions as you wish, as each session is different. All sessions are held on Fridays, 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Oogachaga Centre. http://www.oogachaga.com/congregaytion/news/detail/339/Open-Door-on-Fridays-2
