mate69
Hi all, This is a genuine question for any inputs from those who are in the know here. I would like to know: What options do I have regarding doing up a will to my partner but I also know he is a poor manager of money and tends to make very poor money management decisions regarding this issue. What avenues do I have to ensure that while putting up a will with him as a beneficiary, he does/will not have the ability make lousy and poor decisions about this in my absence? Or perhaps a staggered small amount each month with a trustee ? Any other insights on this please? I have tried to broach this topic but he gets all defensive and thinks I am too controlling with regard to finances but the truth of the matter is that simply, he is a poor steward of money and doesn't know how to save and conserve and only thinks of the present, an extremely short-sighted perspective that has gotten us into many fights and arguments on this issue. Genuine inputs only please. Edited April 20, 2019 by mate69

Cube3
Invest the money in a property, assign rights to stay or to rent but sell only with agreement of trustworthy 3rd party. That's a possibility.
