Guest Another guest
Could I ask the IT experts here the matter stated in the title please? Suppose I use Chrome VPN (through its extensions), which will generate a foreign IP address, then I download whatever movies/dramas that I needed before turning off the extension - is this method safe? As in, it won't trace back to my local Sg IP address right?
Rhyn
It depends entirely on a few factors 1. How robust the VPN is at safeguarding your data because not every VPN company creates the service at the same standard. 2. Whether Chrome might be sneaky, given that it’s an extension inside Chrome and it may be privy to your data; after all, your data is their $ It would be highly advisable to look at reviews of the top few VPNs first to determine what reviewers say about VPNs On another note, free VPNs are NOT FREE. They’ll most likely generate revenue in some way, be it intrusive advertisements, collecting your browsing data or etc Quote Tech Reviewer on Rhyn Reviews and YouTube: https://youtube.com/rhynreviews. XiaoYuEr
I would advice not to go cheap on VPNs, it is not that expensive after all. As the saying goes: "when something is free, you are the product".

Guest Guest
Will hola be able to help if i'm torrenting ? I usually download porn via torrent (not to mentioned tv series as well). Usually i realised that VPN only helps u access the website and download whatever is needed but once a torrent is downloaded and u use maybe like a Utorrent, will VPN still help ? mhohoho
I saw that Hola Free Version has limited data. Does it mean it will limit the sites / videos you can surf to or does it mean data flow will be intermittent, slowing down the site loading and video streaming? Midori
If you are using on a laptop/desktop, can try the TorBrowser. On phone, can try using Orbot VPN, which i feel is quite good.
