Let's talk the Mandalorian

Is this best Star Wars we've had since Empire Strikes Back? - not afraid of bringing canon into the vast SW universe, and still some fresh storytelling. It truly brings back SW to its "wild wild west" roots.

I think that it's honestly a really, really good show, it definitely keeps my full attention and I enjoy watching every episode!

So long they kept full creative direction and not let that Kathleen Kennedy get her toxic hands on it. Jon Favreau knows what it takes to make and preserve the Star Wars Universe. Not like the cringy rubbish identity politic influenced like the last 3 episodes. Too much of that spoiling many iconic films and reboots. Look at present Star Trek Discovery. Mandalorian keeps to what it is doing and all the loyal fans will stick by it.

Can't wait for tonight when the next episode drops. Last 2. Sigh. Still waiting for my baby Yoda (Grogu) order to ship in.. :P

yes - even when it is just 30-40 minutes long - it's still very entertaining.

The first few filler episodes - I was starting to lose interest but maybe - just maybe - he was actually doing his version of recruiting his Grogu rescue team.

damn!!.. Mando broke his first rule...(Guess his demand with Disney actually can through)  Hope it is not a cliff hanger next week as it is the final episode for the season.

Love Bill Burr.. hope there will more of him in later series.

Well, I think it's great character development! He's gone from not wanting to reveal his face, to revealing it to a droid, and then now, after meeting Bo-katan and the other Mandos, he's slowly letting go of the tight rule of not taking off his helmet.

Well Disney just announced a whole slew of new SPINOFFs. Can sound great BUT again...they are cocky to cash-in on the Mandalorian success. Not following all of them as they are going to cause Star Wars fatigue. The push back has helped hold Mandalorian back to a neutral platform (so far) regaining back the truth fan base. But already noisy social media toxicity is starting to show with the attack on Gina Carano and even Rosario Dawson. Even Robert Rodriguez, (one of my favourite action film directors) caught some flack too. Time to ignore those itchy chee bye virtue signally cunt-mouths.

The fear of Kathleen Kennedy sneaking in her control and brand of politics 'taking the knee' turning the Star Wars Universe into another version of CW Studio. Brewing more identity propaganda instead of simply telling Great Star Wars stories but push to produce more tainted storylines like the last 3 Star Wars films. Causing another tail-spin crash on the SW canon and story arc.

I hope the last episode of the season 2 next week will be a long one :P  and not too bad a cliff hanger man... the next season will not be happening till end of next year or so.

I was hoping he will join the team, but alas - he walked away.

Agree - I have reservation on how uneven the quality will be. The titles don't inspire confidence either.

So much online chatter is on who will be the force-wielder who will show up. Any fearless forecast? I won't bet on Luke Skywalker and it won't Asoka either. So will it be Ezra?

Well, I am sure we will find out sooner or later depending on how things goes. I just hope they do JUSTICE to the Canon and not make a freaking mess of it again and again and again. It's when they do not listen to the fans or original writers or even George Lucas.. that bothers me. You listen to some idiot hidden on the net telling them silly things but have no skin in the game or real interest but just say.. I WANT A BLACK, a Female or lesbo so so or you are a racist bigot!.. And the corporation panics and bends a knee and given in or gives K. Kennedy the ammunition fuel to take the identity politic route to change the direction of the story arc or canon. Do that, and they lose me and the fan base.. When you spend years appreciating the lore and they turn it on it's head by people who have no love for the timeline and character development i am just worry what this will do now that they have their sights on so many spinoffs and if each has no link to groups of story writers to hold all the spinoff together universally speaking.

Luke is a stretch and Asoka... given what we know about her from previous TV show.. We can only see in the future.

I watched the Mandalorian with some basic knowledge of the Star Wars universe, but even then, the finale took me by surprise and man ... it was really really good. I'm done watching EP 45612, on my way to 3 and Rogue one in a bit. Can't believe its only now I discovered this

You've got some watching to do. LOL

There's still got the animated series where you get to see Asoka and Bo Katan as neither show up in the movies.

Happy watching! :)

Yeah man haha. Thanks. Side note. Is there anything else after ep 9? And anything else that follows the skywalker storyline?

nothing planned yet after rise of skywalker. But tons of new materials in development for the events during 456123.

I just finished The Rise of Skywalker. Man, what a journey this series has taken me on ... This final film received quite a bit of hate when it was released right? What are your thoughts about it? I pretty much enjoyed it leh. But maybe that's because I'm new to the Star WArs world and didnt see all the loopholes/inconsistencies that many fans saw in this final film.

Is this real? Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Lando?? Bro, its like Christmas haha

A lot of criticism mainly because it didn't stray much from the old tired themes of downfall and redemption. New characters - same conflicts. Not to mention the tired deux ex machina twists. It didn't push the storytelling the same way the Mandalorian did (ok even that had a saviour twist at the end).

Yes - all coming to a galaxy near you. :)

I din watch the series, but aware of the main elements Grogu/Baby Yoda, and of course the Skywalker cameo at the end. And I haven't watch the last of the trilogy yet haha.

I would look most forward to the Obi-wan series, to see the suave Ewan McGregor again. Hopefully there'll be some Sith crisis and confrontation, but I guess not possible, need to move forward with more varied storylines.
