This restaurant has oysters free-flow for dinner: Escape at One Farrer Park Hotel. If book on Eatigo can get 50% discount adding up to around $36 inclusive. For Christmas, the price has gone up to around $40, but for oyster lovers it's a bargain! Also other seafood such as conch and mussels, as well as a variety of sashimi, sushi. Main dish spread includes Indian and local favourites! :thumb:

Peach Garden at Miramar now has 50% off for its ala carte buffet, up to end March, I think. Great dishes like pineapple pork ribs, kurobuta beef stir-fry, wasabi prawn-balls etc. Besides the usual Cantonese classics, includes one round of nutritious soups such as cordyceps with shark's fin, abalone with crab meat etc.:thumb:

Straits Kitchen’s quality is not bad but price is on the high end. Hyatt rarely offer any discount

Indeed! Cos it focused mainly on local dishes

for local, if it s for that price then it is at way too high

I thought as much as well. It's a nice enough place if you are feeling decadent and want to try local dishes "atas" style, just price point wise.

Enjoy & let us know if it is good! :)

Not bad...tho' the sashimi was not the freshest quality, still, can eat back value. But deliciousness factor a little on the bland side...

Its view of the Singapore River can be quite lovely and romantic!

Any recommendation of buffet with fresh oysters? It seems the usual ones stopped serving them or closed.

Hotel Jen is having a 50% for every second guest. This comes up to less than $60 nett per person. Book through hungrygowhere

Do they serve fresh oysters? I see that it's under Shangri-la group. Line itself already doesn't offer fresh oysters.

Anyway I had a great buffet at One Farrer hotel yesterday.

Tried Buffet Town..disappointing. Quite low quality food in my opinion.

I have tried  Jen Hotel at Tanglin and Somerset and they are quite reasonable.

Another good one is the Hotel on North Bridge Road and Chinatown..forgot the name.  It is quite new with a wave like design.

i'll like to recommend Ginger, the Park Royal buffet on beach road. A completer facelift from the previous now makes it a welcome sight to dine & chat. what an ambience, the ceiling & fans. The food presentation has been greatly enhanced. i like the dessert too. just a complete meal & all.
