Would you buy Samsung S23 Ultra or Ipad 10th gen? For media consumption only.

If choose first option,

Pro:can use as phone and watching youtube/tiktok (2 in 1)

Con:More expensive, smaller screen

If choose 2nd option,

Pro: bigger screen, cheaper, already have existing phone

Con: no new phone. No 2 in 1 uses. Too big screen (hand tired from holding)

Which one would you choose?

if he has a turntable record player, you can get him a record of his favorite singer. on top of that, if his love language is words, write him a personal letter and thank him for all he has done for you. if it is touch, give him a solid hug.🙂

has anyone tried giving their dad an experience instead of a thing? Like a massage, a weekend staycation, or even a cooking class together? I'm starting to think shared time might leave a stronger impression than objects, especially if he already has everything he needs. Curious what others think!

How about ASKING your dad for a wish?  The best presents are not "surprises" but something that fulfills a wish.

I dislike when someone gives me a surprise gift, which I may not like, and then having to give warm thanks to the person.

Of course, the best gifts for a dad are your success in life and your respect, consideration and love for him.

When it comes to mature, straight, Asian men, I think the average dad prefers simpler pleasures.

- hiking / walking / cycling trip

- spend a day going around the country on food hunt at local hawker centres

- go fishing together (if he's into that)

- watch sports event together

- explore old haunts (places that he and you used to frequent when you were younger) or old neighbourhoods that he used to stay at, and reminisce about the good old days

- maybe prepare and cook bbq together, rather than a cooking class

- accompany him to medical or other appointments

- do an activity related to his job. (Because men typically associate the work that they do as part of their identity)
