1983rophi
One of Life's Greatest Mistakes: (something I learnt after staying at Ward54 at N.U.H. For 10days): Do not involve yourself in blaming yourself for ur current state of health, avoid pointing the finger at *bad deeds* u may have done & this makes u think: U have been punished > & Dialysis is an act of punishment from God. Instead, like Oprah Winfrey preaches: <PAIN IS STRENGTH OVER TIME>. (i am open to chatting as friends/acquaintances. From last Mon to now, I've been crying buckets. Pls pray for me. Thanks ❤️🩹 My boyfriend who lived 21 years with me developed end-stage renal failure a few years after we met. We chose peritoneal dialysis, which he performed at home. He did this for nearly 15 years and this gave him a life nearly normal and happy. After this time he decided to go for a transplant, and shortly after being on the list he got his transplant. But having been on peritoneal dialysis for so long, brought him a problem with sclerosis of his peritoneal membrane, and three years after the transplant he passed away. You won't have this problem with hemodialysis, since you got a fistula. And home hemodialysis can be a good, healthy solution. There will be surely further improvements in the treatments of dialysis. Not to mention the potential advances with transplants. With all my heart I wish you success with your treatment and a possibility of a long, happy life! Quote Link to comment
