"Pride Month"?Β  Β Shouldn't I have a problem here?

Β

I was baptized a Catholic, and according to my assigned God, there should not be any pride in homosexuality.Β  My newly elected moral leader,Β  this new Pope Leo XIV,Β  has wasted no time coming out against the LGBT community by condemning the liberalization of gay sex ( a "sin", of course ) and the allowance of same-sex marriage.

Β

But... since I have some doubts about my assigned God...Β  I think that a Hell may be reserved... for the religious professionals who try to gain power by condemning the LGBT community based on some invented theologies.Β  I am happy to see how gay pride is blooming in modern society. Of course, since I am gay.Β  And it is never too late!Β :thumb:

Retired Bishop of the Episcopal Church Gene Robinson wrote a book, some 15 years ago, "God Believes in Love".Β  Β He is THE FIRST GAY BISHOPΒ  in Christianity.

Β

In his book, he makes the case for homosexuality never have been condemned by the Christian/Jewish God.Β  Β  He has good reasons to state that Christ never said a word against it.Β  But this guy Charlie Kirk is not impartial, he reads the Bible with a desire to find in it the anti-gay.Β  Β I just heard him saying...Β  when a man leaves HIS FATHERS'S home and looks for a woman...Β  Why is it the "father's home", and not his "mother's home"?Β  Or "his parent's home"?Β  Β

Β

Why does the Catholic Church not allow the ordination of women?Β  If this is also "a mandate of God",Β  then this god is a misogynistic inferior creature. The put down of women is similar to the put down of homosexuals.Β  Completely unjustified, or let's say, justified by prejudices.

Β

But even without researching the holy texts and being argumentative like the young student in the video,Β  a calm introspection should convince us that homosexuality is natural, it does not go against any morality.Β  It starts by recognizing that we don't choose to be gay.Β  It continues by observing that in straight sex there is in no way more "purity" than in gay sex,Β  but maybe the opposite.Β  And finally,Β  gay sex does not go against straight sex.Β  Most gays we can have biological children if we want to.Β  The fact that most gays don't have children is not a negative, but it helps in keeping overpopulation at bay.Β  AND...Β  AND... AND another interesting fact to rub in the face of fanatic Catholics who claim that the life objective of a male is to have children:Β  Β CATHOLIC PRIESTS CANNOT MARRY, CANNOT HAVE CHILDREN.Β  So... wouldn't it be the peak of hypocrisy to blame gays for not having children?Β  Β For staying away from this oh so "Holy Matrimony" from which they themselves stay away?

The Indian philosopher Jiddu Kirshnamurti had some ideas that didn't come from worshiping some God.Β  They came from exploring his humanity.Β  Here in this video he talks about homosexuality.Β  He would also have celebrated a "happy pride month"Β  if this had existed in his days.

Has it ever been really festive during Pride month? I’ve usually found most of the celebrations to be confined to the day and evening of Pink Dot itself. Besides the gays have just gotten Lady Gaga for a full week, I think they need a bit of down time to recuperate.Β

You're right it's never Pride festive in SG cos Pride is NEVER celebrated in Singapore - do you see rainbow flags anywhere?

Β

Pink Dot is a token event where only citizens and PRs can enter an enclosed area to shout about their cause and shine torches for 6 hoursΒ

Β

LGG concerts were a KPI in some civil servant's action list for the last FY

Β

If Oasis had the same $$ appeal they'd definitely work on it, so nope they weren't thinking about the gays

Β

They are constantly reminding you that YOU ARE THE MINORITY and YOU ARE BEING TOLERATED so be thankful for what you're allowed to have - y'all better suck it up and don't go overboard with your rainbow nonsense cos 'traditional family values' are still main drivers to winning GEs

Cos SG is rankedΒ 83rdΒ on the equaldex - way below Thailand, Nepal, Taiwan, India, Timor-Leste, South Korea, Namibia and many others

Β

First on the list being Iceland, the last country at 197th place is Somalia

Β

Iceland is the country with the most LGBTQ equality?Β  Why is this?Β  Β Could it be the cold, the isolation middle in the Atlantic, predisposes people to be more intimately together and tolerate each other?Β  Β Or is it that the proportion of women is very low, to the point that those men who cannot get a woman... get another man?Β Β

You have another 30 years to witness the evolution of gay pride, extended into middle-east.Β  Β Don't worry, you still have plenty of time.
