How To Open Tif File?

In fact in Vista and XP, the default Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (WPFV) can be used to view .tiff files. All you need to do is to right click on the file and select Open As... and then select WPFV from the list of programs. However, in some cases certain .tiff files have been compressed by some algorithm than the WPFV is unable to decipher - for that, you can open it up in Gimp (an open source, Photoshop-like image editing/viewing software) or Photoshop.

If the world don't suck we'd all fall off.

Mine cannot open using WPFV, any reliable free link to Gimp that can help me open my Tiff file? The file is important to me.

I do recall being able to open TIFF files on Windows...

Hmm, if you're comfortable, email the files to menace@starhub.net.sg and I'll convert them to JPEG, GIF or PDF files for you then. :)

Tough right?..nobody can open it todate. Anyway thanks!

A 19kb big .tiff file sounds a little bit wrong to me. Tiff is a lossless compression image format and unless the dimension of the photo is extremely small (or the original photo is severely degraded), it sounds like the file is somewhat corrupted.
