TTS
He is reasonably priced, considering he's the bespoke tailor for some previous Thai Prime Minister.I did not do any suits during my last visit, but I tailored 5 shirts with french cuffs (cuffs links). Cost me 3000 baht (SGD 150 thereabout). Workmanship is good, am pleased with it. Quote Procrastination... The biggest mental vacation one can have. TopChinese
What sort of materials do they have? Am looking for egyptian cotton shirts. There are a lot of indian tailors in BKK.. my general rule is that if they are touting for business... then they probably need the business. Don't use the one in MBK, they are horrible. NewMetroGuy
Thanks brother for the info.Dont know what material is good tho, budget maybe SGD 30 to SGD 40 per shirt, is that too low?Prefer Chinese Tailors tho, indian tailors not bad but heard from friend bad experience... oralb
if just business shirt, 30 to 40 is okay, but you will have to buy a package or sort eg 3 shirt at 1 go, or 2 shirts with 1 pants. worldangel
Personally like the ready made shirts and the brand Cheq by Kaku which available in many department stores like Bangkok's Robinson and at Siam Square Shopping Arcade. The materials quite good and fashionable too. Quote a good oral sex makes your day, a good anal sex makes your "hole weak"

worldangel
Will keep a look out.... but is Cheq ex? The average price is about S$30-35 but some shirts had the price tag of $70-85 and it depends on design and material. I would classify those shirts to be worn for parties and attending wedding dinner? Guest Guest
My regular tailor is Bangkok Tailor at Sukhumvit Soi 11. It was recommended by a Thai friend and I visit it almost every time I am in BKK. It Is not a touristy shop. Average price, good workmanship. It is Interesting to note that most tailors in Thailand are Indians/Sikhs. From BTS station Nana go to Soi 11; tailor is a short walk from station. It's on the right hand side. Guest NoahLucas
A regular part of all my visits to Bangkok is my visit to crown tailors. Over the years they have done well and enough to ensure that I always return to them when faced with the need of formal suiting made in a short time span. Their customer service is indeed exemplary and continues to remain that way. Every customer is tended to separately, measured up and helped making all the right decisions. They keep in mind the frame and structure of every customer and help him/her make the right decision according to his/her body type. Recommended! Guest NoahLucas
It is on Sukhwami Street, or it has a similar name. You can ask the locals there, they know their place. Or just hit google for exact directions, I know my way and wade through the city without looking for street names (makes things easier )
Arvel
Crown tailors have given me the best customer care experience. Their dealing and helpful manners are for sure something that will make me use their services again. They helped me choose the fabric and also advised me on what style would suit my body type the best. My suit was made well in time. I was called for a fitting and a few days after that my suit was delivered right to my office. It was a good experience hence I felt like sharing it on a public level. I recommend crown tailors to everyone. I hope all of you have an experience as good as mine.

Guest Alexander12
I was on a vacation in Bangkok with my family just recently. I and my wife on a walk around town came across crown tailors. As an anniversary gift my wife decided to get a suit made for me. Hence we decided to take a chance with crown tailors. And to date I am glad we did so. Their attitude was highly professional yet warm and welcoming. They did all the measuring very precisely. They walked me through the process of selecting the fabric and choosing the style, helping me with their advice. The end product was delivered to my hotel room a few days before our flight back home. After trying it on I knew we had made a good decision. my wife’s present was a major hit with me. Recommended!
Steve Kyne
Guys - three or four years ago I had two suits made by a tailor in Soi Si Bamphen (just off Soi Ngam Duphli) in Lumpini. It was run by two Sihks, who I assumed (rightly or wrongly) were brothers. They marketed themselves to the gay community. I thought that the business was called Prince Tailors, but stuffed if I can find anything on line.Does anyone know of it, and whether it is still in existance? The suits were (still are) exceptional quality, and I want to visit them again in May to get a few more made.
andy121
I am a big fan of Tom's Fashion. His website is TomsFashion.com and the address is 19, Soi Preeda, Sukhumvit Soi 8, Bangkok 10110, Thailand"Best service I can remember getting while shopping. Very friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure about how to pick options for a custom tailored suit, but they took me through it step-by-step. Amazing product! I am extremely happy with the way my suits, pants and shirts came out and will definately be ordering more in the future. They also have excellent ties." Guest Guest
I have made my tailor clothes in Amari Watergate Hotel. Apparently it is quite recommended amongst Singaporeans. I have seen a lot of Singaporeans going there and make their clothes. It is called Pauls Fashion. Amari watergate hotel level 2 . It is directly opposite Platinum Shopping Mall.It actually depends on the quality of the cloth you want. There are several types.I've made one full suit (Blazer and Pants) , addition 3 long sleeves shirt , 3 working pants for about SGD$500All Customed made, I'm quite big size so I am not sure if they actually charge higher. But It is reasonable. As for shirts, it really depends on the pattern you want. Some additional patterns comes with additional cost.My recommendations is to go at least 4 days 3 nights.Once you reach bangkok, checkin your hotel and head down to tailor first. I think they closes about 6pm or 7pm.Once there, choose your stuffs and pay a deposit. They will probably ask you to go down the next day for fitting. After fitting they will then start making your shirts by then you have to make full payment. They are closed on Sundays . After finsihing the sewing, they will deliver to your reception of your hotel. Just make sure you have a name card of your hotel if it is super isolated,

Happypup
Hi Peeps! Anyone has field reports of tailoring experience in Bangkok? Going over next week and thinking of tailoring my working shirts there. Seems like the shops that were famous previously (Paul @ Amari) have raised their prices quite significantly and that their service is going down. And there is a new shop popping out in platinum mall that is opened by Singaporean. Been researching but can't seem to find something good but not expensive. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you! =)

Guest Guest
Funny, Caucasians travel half the way around the world on a 24 hour flight to come to Singapore to have their custom made shirt and business suit done in Singapore from tailors in Orchard road, Peninsula plaza, Lucky Plaza. yet there are , Locals who flock to Thailand to have their custom made business suits and business shirts tailored. I guess costs have gone up and shot up in Singapore. Business costs in Bangkok is dirt cheap yet in Bangkok, yet they charge almost near to Singapore prices , for tailored shirts , yet people flock to bangkok to tailor their shirts , must be for the same price you get European fabric in Bangkok but in Singapore you get China made fabric , becos of higher business over heads in SIngapore. LOL. Have anyone seen the cute Turkish tailor who works for a Tailor shop along South Bridge Road, at the junction of PAgoda st and south bridge road, the shop is facing the main road, Just find theTurkish Tailor looks cute and sitting with his hand powered sewing machine.Check the shop out

However another staff said we have to pay for postage upon pymt. We said that it was promised once we order the min no of clothes it will be free postage. He said that the other who was with us doing the sales is a new staff and there is no such thing as free postage. He added on if we dont want to pay then forget it. My friend and i were shocked. We were previously served by the sales staff abt 1 year ago. How can he be new staff? Hence we decided to leave the shop.

Thanks for the reflection. Definitely the cost!!! And I think the starting cost for tailored shirts are cheaper than Singapore for sure (at least 40%?). As it will be my first time going for tailored shirts, I am not sure about the quality and all. Just hopefully it will make me look better? Lolx!! Hmmm... Cute Turkish tailor... I'm sorry to hear about this ridiculous treatment. Yeah... Paul is kinda hit or miss leh.. Been researching on them too and see very mixed responses. Some Singaporeans totally raved about them, but some faced really bad experiences too... That's why I am thinking I should avoid all those famous, "overly-pampered" by Singaporeans joints... Guest BKK
I hate to pour cold water on this but the tailors in bangkok are not actually tailors but fabric sellers. They take your measurements and then your shirts are made at huge factory sweatshops. How do you think a suit can take just 2 days to make? That said, I have gone for a few Bangkok tailors. The workmanship is similar across the board, and are generally well made. That's why everyone has different recommendations for different tailors.
