After reading Sotongball posting on MR RIGHT. I keep thinking of this song by Glenn Frey. There was a verse tat goes like this :

loving and being loved

love is an idea, a feeling, a belief.

being loved is not always blissful: it is painful being loved by someone whom you don't love;

as with loving someone: the most painful thing in the world is loving someone who doesn't reciprocate your love.

which will you choose: loving someone, or being loved by someone? or would denying love be more self-preserving?

young love is not given easily to the man-on-the-street;

it is given to someone for whom your love knows no bounds.

what constitutes such heroic love?

how will you answer that? can you even fathom a response?

how should i know, when the person has not yet arrived?

i believe that i will meet him someday,

and thus i do not easily fall in love with others;

i want to pine for him.

in our deepest recesses, we believe that the ones we love so dearly will similarly love us to the ends of the world.

only when we choose to examine the concept hard enough do we realise our naivete.

how does one comprehend the idea of love if one has never loved before?

the truth of the matter is that the greatest love of all is borne out of the polish of time;

or that you will never find someone who you truly love.

you may only find him that you love, but not enough to give up the world for;

as he has not yet reached your zenith.

let us all stand proud and shout out the former;

for loving someone involves learning, practising, nurturing, and courage; resulting in a positive character development and maturity.

on the other hand, being loved, even if joyous, comfortable, and boastful, easily results in indulgence; and indulgence is a stopper to true love: it makes one powerless to question one's sigfinificant other.

the truth of the matter is that the answer to the question is written on couples in love.

as one grows older, and one comprehends the ways of the world and the meaning of life, one becomes more terrified in matters of love;

only wanting to be loved, and not actually loving anyone.
