The Use Of Msn Messenger

Heyy!

Just wondering if people still "truly" use MSN Messengers? I used to have it before around 3-4 years back and I used to go on quite often to chat with my friends and stuff like that. But then it all seemed to have just died down and everyone I know has switched to the more practical Skype.

Then I started being a member of BW just a couple of days ago actually and I noticed a lot of people asking for my MSN. The reason why I wrote "truly" is because these people who ask for my MSN always seemed a little bit sketchy and so I wonder if people really use MSN or is it just a way of satisfying horny cravings...............i don't even know.

What are your thoughts when:

1. A complete stranger asks for your MSN?

2. Do you give it to them?

3. [side discussion] What do you think of people on here wanting to know each other for sex?

When someone asks me for my MSN, I would:

1. Feel weird that MSN is actually still in use cause mostly people go on Skype now.

2. Even if I still use MSN, I will not give it out because I don't know this person.

So no, I will not give it out unless I feel comfortable.

And I feel that people who come here looking for sex has come to the wrong place. Or at least I feel so. They should just go cruising or onto some dating thing like Trevvy or Fridae or Grindr/Jack'd. I get alot of people asking me on chat about my status and all that and I generally ignore their chats because I feel that is irrelevant to making friends especially when they send me a message like so.

I hope i'm not the only one who feels like that.

1. I don't use MSN often so adding me on it doesn't mean I'll talk to them . MSN blocked my main account so I gave up on their service .

2. If they ask . I have Skype on my profile .

3. I don't feel anything because I'm not interested . Gay apps , gay forums , gay IRC , bound to have people looking for sex / fun / ONS / no strings attached , so it's not that uncommon and really since I have no interests , I don't bother with them .

I always reject and will nvr give them. Hmmm if im not wrong, we use our msn to sign up for stuffs on the internet, so how can we give out something so private to strangers?

As for the people looking for sex, if i think they sound polite, i will reject them nicely. But if i get a rude msg asking for sex, just ignore. No nid to get affected by them.

Advancements in chat quality can be made via platforms such as Msn/Skype/whatever.

That PM and chat system in BW isn't the most efficient if you haven't realised (sorry admins :3)

Can always create new Msn/Skype purely for Aj chat wuuuuut.

It depends on how unfamiliar the person is. People who PMed me on here usually told me that it's due to my posts and about-me instead of my stats (i have lousy stats anyway. HAHA) so I feel that it's ok to talk to someone who agree with me

I know they probably won't want to talk to me for sex due to stats and a faceless profile picture

It's fine as long as they understand that I do not meet up to have casual sex. I don't want to spend my time talking to someone and have them go "so.. you wanna have some fun tonight?" in the end.

2. Do you give it to them?

I do because I'm okay with it. I have another MSN account set up to chat with AJs. Giving my real email would be risky as I used my real email for all social platforms. Besides, I can always block them on msn if they turned out to be real nasty. However, I stopped using msn and now I can't even remember my email and password for my AJ account. ;-;

Previously discussed in another thread, I don't like this personally because I seek a monogamous relationship and I feel weird bedding random guys, or a guy who have been actively seeking others for sex. However, people who do and people who don't don't have to be at loggerheads. As long as they do it responsibly with safe sex and they don't bother me, I'm totally cool with it. They can do whatever they want, it's their life. Though I'd say using trevvy or fridae would probably give them faster results than on BW? If you dislike it, just be sure to tell them you are not seeking sex upon friend requests or chat (:

Yes I do still use it coz mostly I think Malaysians are still sticking to MSN to chat with friends. And mostly my friends are using MSN too

1. It's fine for me, strangers do ask for my MSN, Skype or even YM!!

2. Not really unless I can sense that that stranger is a decent person to give my MSN ...

I stop using msn sometime back and started reusing it when i joined bw lol. Lots of guys here use msn to chat. You can always create a new account meant just for the aj guys, Think msn is a great way to chat as whatsapp and stuff may disturb ppl when are busy

There are like so many channels for chat now, and I think the trend in chatting on MSN is rather died down already. But I'll still sign in to my MSN account everyday and just leave it hanging there until I switch off my computer.

I don't really have any comments on those people. But I think that as long as there is a medium to interact with people, there will always be some who will try to make use of it to do something of their liking (as long as it's not illegal). Just don't reply to them if you are not up for sex...

Yes I agree, i still prefer msn or online chat, cos watapps still have to add another party moblie number before start to chat, dun think is discreet enough, wait later that aj or watever ppl keep messaging or keep call the person then will be a really BIG BIG problem. :unsure: "diu bo"??

I still use it from time to time but it's just that I have almost nothing to talk to my friends about. Totally no common interest, nothing. Chances are I will bore the crap out of them. And no one ever talks to me too unless they got a technical problem. I'm their troubleshooting king.
