Do You Back Up Your Porn Collections

bought a 1TB portable hard drive to consolidate all my porn downloads from various places together. and also to free up more space on pc and laptop for more porn coming in.

 

after that i realise if my portable hard drive goes faulty, i will lose all my porn. so i toyed with the idea of buying another hard drive to duplicate everything but it seems stupid.

 

so how do u guys back up your porn collections? or how do you guys store them?

You will need a back up, and a back up for your back up, and a back up for your back up's back up just to be safe.

I lost my entire porn collection like 3 months ago. Havent got my HDD fixed and i gotta re-download new ones again...

I just store them in one harddisk. If it crash I can always download new porn... It's time I delete some of them, I've got more porn than the time to watch them.

I'm more worry about photos, I normally back up at 2 place.

However, if you guys want to backup pxxn, you either get a NAS with RAID, or encrypt then backup online. Most online provider don't allow pxxn =P

A NAS is like a separate machine on you home network; you can access any file you store on it from any computer /phone/ tablet on your network. Some even allow you to access it from anywhere via the internet.

RAID will allow you NAS to have 1/2/3 etc HDD to fail and still recover the data, depending on how you set it up.

 

However, raid =/= backup. RAID will safe you from a HDD failure; not from a virus/ accidental deletion.

Thanks zephire! I just checked and Skydrive only allows 5GB of space. What about Dropbox? Is it unlimited?

 

I've actually seen someone upload his porn into Dropbox, no issues with it and him so far hahaha.

Dropbox is 2GB free, with extra 500MB for every referral, up to a max of 18GB.

I don't suggest uploading to skydrive, MSFT are using a automated scanner to detect pxxn, and will disable your account till you remove it.

You can try box; 5GB free, though I have little experience with them.

I belive that was a old promo, and HTC also took part in it.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that dropbox employees can access your files, but I do not know if the actively check for pxxn. However, if they find you collection, you can be assured you will either be forced to delete it or they will deactivate your account. If you want privacy, encrypt it.

Now with internet accessibility, I no longer keep soft copies hard copies skydrive or hdd anymore; storing them means keeping watching re-runs, I need new stuff all the time ...

^{I backed up mine by sharing with my friends and those who want to trade with me.  Should my hard disk die on me... I can still copy it back from my friends.  This way I don't have to spend extra to more hard disk.}

In the past my backup was in my e-mail, 2 years ago I moved to google drive.

 

Created a a lot of accounts like bra1, bra2, bra3 and shared all the folders with ''bra0'', so i got  like 15 acounts of 15 gb each shared with the bra0,the search by name of google drive is awesome....

 

Then, google brought to this amazing new world ''GOOGLE PHOTOS'', and now we have unlimited storage for videos bellow 1080p, and images  bellow 16 megapixels xD.

 

But google drive is still better for searching files by name,

example1: search for ''Sasha Grey'', all the videos from all gdrive accounts with Sasha grey appear. and you can show them by thumbnails and by colluns and details.
