Guest Guest
Mustafa have too many things until i see also faint. Haha. But their things there are cheap, i have a friend who bough a fridge there is much cheaper than normal shop like havey norman or courts. Not 100% true. Many of the things there are cheaper, but once in a while, you will notice that you may find some items getting sold cheaper elsewhere. Furthermore, Courts sometimes have those add-on 3 years warranty which can prove to be a lifesaver sometimes. That was why I got my fridge from Courts rather than Mustafa even though it was cheaper at Mustafa.

Steve5380
Singapore is too fucking cramp and overcrowded to cater to the present population already much less talk about catering to a 6.9 million population and beyond. Our country do not have land and space to accommodate so many people and their needs. Not like America or even Malaysia where they have land to build hypermarts that can take more than half a day to finish browsing. Here the road is fill with cars. Here the supermarkets the queue at the cashier counters stretch all the way into the shopping aisles itself making shopping a hindrance and unpleasant experience for shoppers.Don't even let me get started on how impossible it is to navigate through the local supermarkets with a shopping trolley. It is impossible using that damn thing to shop at all.Lots of knocking into people or basket with each turn and step.Plenty of screaming kids and pundeks from third world shitholes. This is not how I envision my life and living experience to be on Singapore!Fuck you party against people. I don't want to defend ntuc but I need to bring your head out of your ass before you look any more stupider. There are already self checkout counters in common Ntuc supermarkets already.Get yourself up to date with ground developments. I have fun reading your lovely and kind posts. I always wonder why Singapore doesn't have decent big supermarkets instead of those "FairPrice" crammed holes. Prices are high, selection is poor. Land is scarce in Singapore, but buildings can always go up, up into the sky. For example, in the center of the city, all that space taken up by this snobby Raffles hotel could be converted into a wonderful supermarket, in the American style, multi-level parking included, so close to City Hall metro. But more to the topic: It should be fine to buy most common products from value shops. It is even more 'value' to use little of these products, like soap. I would make an exception with toothpaste: dental care is very expensive (at least in the US). There are premium toothpastes that include ingredients allegedly good against cavities, plaque, gingivitis, tartar, and the probability that this is true makes it a good value to spend more to avoid dental problems. Even now at 5.4 million population the supermarts are being overwhelm by shoppers.
