ChiSquare
I think it's a matter of getting use to it. If you do it more often, you will overcome that. I got used to it due to work travel requirements. I usually keep the bathroom lights on during hotel stays. I love staycations alone. Peaceful without disturbance and you can really relax. MeowPrince
Its always nice to have a couple of friends over for a staycation together. Something I do 2-3 times a year, with my bf, and some close friends, though only the bf stays over. Its only in the last year that I finally decided to get some "me time" and took two staycations to just get away from everything - no email, no family, no work, and fone on silent. Just threw some old movies and ebooks in my spare laptop to watch and read, brought along a bag of snacks and just laze the day away. Its that quietly peaceful feeling that is so so so good! Work-wise, have already stayed alone overseas often enough. But its work. Its just different. azimuth
These days I prefer staycations than travelling overseas. To be honest, travelling cost much more if all I want is some "me time". Air ticket, airport transfers, packing, the constant awareness of being on time (transfer, check-in, boarding, etc), planning things to do at the destination, clearing of work before and after the holiday, etc. I am not saying travelling overseas is bad. It just depends on the purpose and if it truly makes you happier. :-) lovehandle

Guest guestsober
I think staycation is just being laid down on a sick bay.The moment went in it feels like,so tired, just want to get a nap off the coat.In between there is a kind of feeling not wanting to waste the whole day usage. But at the same time still thinking hard to turn on for bed on that long nights. So just plan it to go for a swim, walking out of the place to buy food back.Normally,i will get a piece of cake in the menu other than just food.Maybe that something to feel like its my birthday to pass the night. There are definately ghost,as i encounter more than mind can think at this kind of place for numerous occasion. Not to be too exact,i make it a point to it that it is my birthday. The thing will understand and make the night a very cooling sound asleep night. But if the thing don't like you,i don't know.So just bring along this feeling as it may let it know is a birthday stay.Try not to get the same room from the same room on the same place within a 3 months time.Because the thing will remember, and will follow you back. mike_amk
I have been hosting some Staycations at home. It is usually done in between tenants booking my guest room. So it seems to work out nicely... and you get to meet nice people on a short weekend stay. I also get feedback on what the guest thinks could be improved in the room and overall service. There have been strange ones too, one guy just wanted to sleep... eat and sleep... !
Guest Neh Neh
Not scare to staycation alone meh? You don't know the history of the hotel room. Some rooms people suicided before. Or died unwillingly. something may follow you back home after staycation and may never shake it away.

Having stayed in many hotels alone for over 15 years... from the best to the not so nice ones, it has never crossed my mind to think of such things as you have mentioned. You appear to spend too much effort in spreading superstition. Try to live your life in the light... you'll find it a much better option. For me, I always look forward to do staycation in boutique hotel around Singapore. It is good getaway since I stay with parents. I kinda enjoy solitary at times. However, I have a strange anxiety when I am being too alone - ok, don't laugh - I know this may be silly. Once it entered the night, I have hard time sleeping alone in the hotel room since I am not used to that alone. Having family sleeping in the next room at house does give a sense of security. So I am also in dilemma - should I go staycation? To have some private space yet hate the idea of insecurity sleeping alone. Sigh. Ok. I know it sounds silly again. Haha. Maybe someone can share your thoughts or any love for staycation alone too? The solution to your problem is buying a life-sized blow-up doll. Can deflate it and carry in your luggage bag to move around. Inflate it at night and put it beside you for "human presence" and doubled up as a sex toy when you are horny lor. I have experienced the "visits" of a few of my beloved ones ... and even gave me 4D numbers on two occasions !! The "unlucky visits" were in my army camp... when you don't get a good vibe of the spirits around !! I love to walk at night in bishan park... and there are certain places where you do feel spirits around, of course... everyone knows that there was a huge cemetery around in the past right..!! So why focus on that past aspect when the park is so beautiful around you. Do not assume that only you know the past history. I am a more spiritually enlightened person, and hope that you will one day be able to free yourself from superstitious baggage and "safety measures" and be able to enjoy a Staycation at any great hotel or resort with complete peace of mind. One thing about couples....Why once attached everything should be evolving around that person meh? I have a kakis, even play mj also need "Visa" from his bf.
