Guest Scammed Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Dear fellow BW members, please beware this guy. His name is Ern_st L_h and he claims to be a student from Nanyang Technology University. We met up through the Trevvy portal and had fun a few times. About a month ago, he borrowed $300 from me to settle some financial issues and promised to return as soon as possible. Subsequently, he refused to pick up any calls from me or reply to any of my sms. I have already given up hope in getting my money back and just treat it as a lesson learnt. I wont be disclosing his full name but here is his trevvy docket in case any other members fell prey to him. Edited October 24, 2011 by oralb While you didnt mention the name, his docket included his picture which is rather unethical and one-sided. So I have removed your link.
oralb Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Take it as a general advice to all:If you are willing to lend money to people you met only a few times, be prepared to forgo the amount. matthewleon 1 When I Think It, I Do It, I Win It!
fitboy24 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Lols. It's only 300 bucks and he's running away because of that? Jeeesus.i don't find the humor in dis. The amount of money is relative.Anyway, take it as general advice - no need for black humor here.
Guest Nothing new Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Apparently all these people never learn and this is not the first time we heard such encounterances here. I hope this is the last, and if we see another new threat pouring out similiar grievances, the lender must be prepared to accept lost.Anyway, thanks for the advcies. Keep financial matters away from stranger until you fully know him for at least 5 years.
gz69 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) It was Ralph Waldo Emerson, the American philosopher who wrote about the law of eternal justice. Do good to others and good will come to you. And vice versa. You did good by lending to him believing he would repay. You had sympathy on his situation. Do not worry. Good will come to you and you will recover more than you had lost. The good may be in health, promotion at work, success in studies, opportunities. Do not be filled with hate over this loss but have faith that you will recover your small loss. For that guy (if he is reading this) who cheated, the scale of eternal justice also works on you. If you do not repay, you may find your life road harder. You may go on fleecing others but bad luck and difficulties will catch up with you sooner or later. You may look back and wonder why you did not succeed as you expected or is dogged with unhappiness even though you seem to be successful. It is not too late to redeem your fate. Guest Lester Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Also, beware of some str8 who pretend to be gays/ bi. They could be personal trainers, foreign hairstylists, masseurs, etc. They will behaviour very friendly, and make u feel like they like u, and even suggest hanky panky with u (which is a lie), with the intention of enticing u to frequent them, make u think the next round sure got more fun, etc. They just want to squeeze money from you for their business in personal training, hair styling, massage, etc. A large number of such people even went to the extent of borrowing money from u, using various excuses, after they get to know u and win your liking for them as potential friends/ partners/ sex buddies. Be careful of such people out there to expolit gays. Beware.

ashtonxia Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 If he looks like Taylor Lautner then I would understand if someone kena cheated. But.............................................................. *sigh*
oralb Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I have deleted the link that leads to the man in question. Why?Poster # 1 and Poster #7 shared the same IP address, both were newly created account with ONLY 1 posting, and that's to talk about that guy who cheated.Maybe it was a genuine case, but the coincidental facts do raise a red flag. Nevertheless do remember that this is the Internet, dont believe in everything is written, and if you are willing to lend money out, be prepared not to get it back. Guest Ironrod Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 agogo2010 is also my another identity. I felt shamed to admit I had cheated money by him. I dn't expect money back but I remember when I refused to lend him money and he phoned my home and told my father that I was gay. Then my father was so desperated and finally pass away a few years later. His behavouir was absolutely immoral and should be sentenced to jail. Firstly, why would your father trust a stranger on the phone rather then u his son?It took your dad few years to pass away and u blame him?Perhaps u should wear lenses next time u make friends with others - don't anyhow give ppl your home phone number.
