if anyone whipped out a winter orb in the middle of an edh game i'd probably punch his face. or sneak a copy of disenchant or shatter into my deck. i think the one time i had the most groans at the table was when i played confusion in the ranks on turn five, and then removed simian spirit guide from hand on turn six to play goblin game. up until then no one had taken note of me because all i had on the table was a norin the wary (with the occasional bolt and volcanic fallout to help me). also helped that the guy playing the arcanis deck liked the idea of goblin game and thus didn't counterspell. anyway, the goblin game took >10 minutes because 2 idiots decided to hide, like, coins and shit. of course i died the next turn, but at least i died happy knowing that i resolved one of the most bizzare spells in the history of mtg.
