The question would be, could Terry really have had held a candle for Eden, though it seems unlikely, given, as our resident psychologist, Mr Lam has pointed out, they have been friends for 7 long years; so, as such, plenty of opportunity for Terry to express his feelings, if he really wanted to ?
But it would seem odd, for Terry to just up&go, so suddenly, cutting off all ties, without at least saying good bye & why ?
Or could it be, Terry is feeling very vexed and confused himself, thinking, why was his supposed best friend Eden, whom he thought was also his darling, went and showed such open affection, for Charlie; and that, made him jealous ?
Then again, wouldn't Terry already know, that Eden & Charlie are together, even b4 the very public kiss, given, since the 3 of them, are seemingly always tgt ?
In light of that, perhaps, Terry wasn't jealous of Eden, or blamed him, for snatching Charlie from him; but rather, was upset with Eden, for in a way, liking Charlie more than him ?
Perhaps Terry was jealous of Charlie, for taking away his best friend & secretly perceived darling, Eden.
But, Terry kept the pain within himself, because, he didn't want, or did not know, how to broach the subject, with Eden.
& he chose to exit Eden's life, in pained silence.
So, my advice would be, option 2, for Eden to try again, to talk, to Terry.
I hope Eden gets the break-through he needs, with Terry, this time around, and Terry will finally listen, open up, and talk things out.
All the best.
